I hope someone buys it and can continue. I think there are opportunities to expand that business for a younger restauranteur.

I have a bad feeling nobody will, at least at that location.

That downtown location was a tough one even in the best of downtown work commuting. It will be a shame, but it can't possibly be feasible going forward.

The elder Bannos is around 70 years old, a couple of my cousins have known him since high school. Time to slow down.

So do I…the good news is that the gumbo recipe, while laborious, tastes identical to the version you got in the restaurant.

Those recipes are insane. One of the ones I made had 82 ingredients in it with all the various spices involved.
