Last year, there was a lot of construction at MGM. I find that place to be too cavernous. Easy to get lost inside.

We are doing Circa again. I am sure you have heard the commercials. If you like sports book betting, that place is great.

Oh come on, I know I deserve it a lot of the time, but talking about a trip to Vegas in the Vegas thread and inviting others is hardly a humblebrag.

It will be money well spent. Only problem was that it was cold and windy as hell (for early October in Vegas) on that Friday night. Turnout was low as a result. Still managed to make the most of it however.

Yup, one of the few cases where the commercial hype is actually true, huge place and your very close to the unique collection of humans known as Freemont Street.

Need help - me and my lady friend have decided to go to Vegas Late April.

How can I find some good hotel deals? I dont want to stay in one of the old hotels like Circus Circus or Excalibur. I see Luxor is pretty cheap but I stayed there like 15 years ago and didnt like it.

I did like MGM Grand but no idea how it is now. Paris has affordable prices too from what I've seen.

What is a good decent hotel at an affordable price? and where can I get those deals?

We stayed at the venetian last October (BEARS) and thought it was great. Previously we frequently stayed at MGM and always loved it.

Don't know how much of a deal we got but we booked through Costco travel. I am told Southwest Travel has some good deals.

you sir are a genius! That is the route I'm taking too! SW for airfare and Costco Travel for Hotel. We won't be renting a car as we'll be on the strip.

I'll look into Venetian. Maybe I'll splurge a little this time.

Paris is fine. Classier than Bally’s, even though the Jubilee rooms at Bally’s are very nice. Too much weed at Bally’s. I’d never spend the money to stay at MGM, Venetian, or the Wynn. I’ll go there for a show or to eat — but I’m not spending $200 extra a night for a smaller room. To each his/her own though. Peace and love.

When I go with guys I could care less where I stay. I recall the days of staying at the Stardust low-rise motel in the back. The bathrooms were so small the shower was about 4 feet high and thus hit me in the belly.

But when I go with my wife she likes staying where there is a nice pool, bars, nightlife, etc. I am good with it. Happy Wife, Happy Life.

Stayed at the Paris and found it very wife friendly with clean room, plenty of little shops that women like to wander through for whatever reason, and most importantly a big bathroom, which is essential when traveling with women.

Deals were fairly easy to find, especially if you have rewards card.

Yeah I stayed at the Venetian in October too and loved it as well. Would definitely stay there again.

I think then it's down to Paris vs Venetian. I see vegas.com has big discounts on all hotels. I may book thru there instead of Costco as I don't see Costco having Venetian as an option.

Venetian is a level above Paris. Also, if you're not a big gambler, check out the Trump Hotel. No casino, but it's right next to several like Venetian and Wynne, and it's much easier to get in and out of your room since you don't have to navigate through a thousand tables and slot machines.

Ok I did it wrong, I guess Costco has Venetian. I had to click on More Hotels.

Venetian on costco travel is around $700 but it comes with daily sparkling wine and $20 daily food and beverage credit. Also free valet parking but we're not going to rent a car.

I had not considered Bellagio but it's only around $500 for my stay thru costco travel. Is Bellagio as good as Venetian?

You should stay at Circa, where Deni$ is staying. Maybe he will let you inside his “Cabana”

I haven't stayed at NYNY for a few years, but I like how their hotel towers are close to the valet parking and easy to access from I-15. I always have a car and like to get off of the Strip since I don't gamble that much.

Have you stayed at NY NY before. I see its very affordable ($40 a night) but looks a bit run down.

Don't know if it is clear on Costco but when we went the F&B credit was not a general daily credit against purchased F&B, but rather it applied only to F&B purchased at specific restaurants and bars at the property. They give you the list when you check in.

Just got back from Vegas this morning.

What can I say - it's pretty much the same town I had visited years earlier.

If you're a smoker you'll love it here.

I was disappointing because of COVID they closed down all the buffets. That was one thing I was looking forward to and enjoyed from my previous experience.

The Venetian hotel was good.

Other than that it's sort of still got a cow town vibe.

Which buffets were closed? I was there in February and all the buffets were open.

I should have said dinner buffets. Some had only brunch buffets. But we only saw Luxor was the only one w/ a dinner buffet.

I stayed at Aria on our last trip and loved it. Central location, nice large casino, decent food. Went in winter so the pool was not an option, but looked pretty big and spacious. We liked it.

My mom stayed at Linq and she liked it.
