I don't follow Bauer on any social media, but the things I've seen that are supposedly so terrible are like the things that Julie complains about. That is, the people complaining like to dish it out but they don't want to take it.

Interesting contrast in how Watson and Bauer have dealt with the accusations. Bauer admitted it occurred, but had the receipts to show consent and wasn't shy about sharing them. Watson on the other hand is deny, deny, deny. Yet, the media in general has been viscous to Bauer and pretty soft on Watson.

There are only two examples of infinity: The universe and human stupidity and I'm not sure about the universe.

I think at some point it does became someone else's business. For example, you can't shoot your lover just because she requests it. I just don't believe that Bauer got to such a point. There's a lot of evidence that he didn't which is why not only was he NOT found guilty of anything, the judge- who incidentally was a woman- wouldn't even issue a restraining order.

You can certainly be of the opinion that Trevor Bauer is an asshole who treats women like garbage, but what you can't do is say he's an asshole who treats women like garbage to the point of fracturing their skulls, especially when you know that he didn't fracture a woman's skull.

This isn't about Bauer's deviant sexual kinks and whether he can compartmentalize his deviancy and be a decent human when he's not engaged in his kink, this is about certain media outlets and their reporters engaging in a personal vendetta against someone they find reprehensible (also not really because of his kinks, he's run afoul of the politics of The Checkmarks before, but it was easier to try to get him run out of baseball as a sexual abuser than it was for supporting Trump or questioning climate change) and crossing a line in doing so.

Those are positions that are open to discussion. Obviously such positions are extremely conservative and in most cases undergirded by religious belief. We can have whatever kind of society we want. I just can't square the dissonance between the prevailing standard that women are equal to men (which seems to be morphing into "women are exactly the same as men" or "men and women aren't categories that even exist") with the idea that sex is something a man does to a woman rather than something in which they are equal participants. It has echoes of the "drunk sex is rape" infantilization of women. Like I said, we can have any kind of society we want.
