Was going to say, my 04 didn't check until bantam. My 2000 just missed out at PW.

Same here....my hockey player was 2000 and he did not check in PW. We had one girl in the House Bantam league and she could hold her own just fine...there were no special rules or handling. After Bantam she played on a girls High School team. If anything, girls had more options....they could play out of district. I recall High School seeing a girl out there on an opposing JV team. Same thing...I don't think anyone was afraid to hit her as she was tall and thick enough to handle herself. If there were any concerns of her getting hit / injured....she had no business being out there.

Bigger problem we had was Spring League...you'd have travel and Juniors players coming into our High school leagues for a variety of reasons and they'd be out on the ice with newbies. More than one occasion saw a newbie learn the hard way that you don't hold the puck very long over the center line.

Not every fact is appropriate to be included in reporting a death, despite Julie’s Kobe thoughts.

Epitaphs are what they are, though. Bill Buckner might as well carve on his gravestone a picture of himself with a ball going between his legs. Kobe's epitaph, is obviously not rape.
Tomlin did a wonderful thing with the epitaph of his young player. What struck me was he called Haskins his friend. I thought that was powerful coming from a heavyweight like Tomlin.

Duane Haskins "struggling" to catch on is, sadly for him, a relative nobody getting described by a "fact" that hardly anybody cares about though occurring in the off-season.

If it turns out he did this intentionally, his football struggles may be a very important contributor to his death, and not at all irrelevant.

When OJ dies, will the headline be “ Heisman trophy winner, long-time NFL player, actor and announcer” or “accused murderer.”

It’s all relevant, just depends on the POV you choose to take.

You are being ridiculously petty. Usually, a journalist will write something about what the person is known for. Haskins was known for taking selfies during games and getting cut on his rookie deal. Journalism wasn’t meant to serve as PR for public figures until recently.
