Link it to the people starting a "charitable organization" to pay Kofi $1 million to stay at Illinois next year.

Isn't that just the same thing as a Megachurch? Or pretty much any church?

If you do the cult thing you can find a few idiots that will willingly do whatever you want with no questions asked, that is until law enforcement finds out. Tons of Netflix docs about hapless goofs serving up young daughters to creeps old cult leaders.

The Megachurch thing gives you the same thing, but you have to be a little more subtle, find the young women that are vulnerable, hire them as "church secretaries", and then do your thing in secret, until one of the flock catches you in a compromising position. Usually see this in the local news stories under, "Local pastor resigns in disgrace".

Somewhat similar, but one requires a little more finesse.

We had the House of David group over here late 1800's to 1940's -ish. Self-proclaimed "King Ben" took it upon himself to de-flower all the maidens of the group, then send them to a group-owned island for a 7-9 month relearning time. They had a baseball team that played and rivaled the professional teams of the era. Ben died of a venereal disease and was entombed in the attic of one of the group homes in a glass coffin, awaiting resurrection. Their group owned a popular amusement park that was still in business when i was a kid.

Maybe King Ken can reopen Olde Chicago and form a House of Ken/CSFMB barnstorming curling team!

I believe my wife's grandfather met her Grandmother in a way somehow connected to the House of David team. I think he played on a team near Sullivan that went up there and played them and met her there or something. Somehow I always thought they were some hassidic jewish team or something vs what I just read and saw on line. I'm sure the story I have been told has been twisted and changed throughout the years.

The amusement park was different than the Silver Beach one correct? My mother in law talks of going to that one as a kid in the early 50's.

churches have more balls than cults. seriously if you think about it the church's logo is literally proclaiming "WE KILLED OUR GOD!!!!" and seriously even if jesus Himself came back to the mortal coil took a look around could you blame him for technically being an antichrist? what the fuck am i getting up on that cross for this time?

plus look at the people telling you all about the antichrist are. if they were truly against boy wonder dying for everyone's sins maybe they wouldn't have, oh i dont know, MADE IT THE FUCKING LOGO OF THEIR FAITH!?!?

seriously the way i see it is that boy wonder was bad for business. the mortals/heathens/etc in the church were starting to get hard over either little boys or all the land and wealth they could collect but somewhere along the way mr. "water into wine" wasn't seen as good for business. they blamed jews and/or some romans. but seriously if you take it as literal as possible and there's a guy hanging around your neighborhood who can literally turn water into wine, wouldn't the neighborhood rise up to protect that guy? isnt he some sort of a civic treasure? this shit always bugged me about the tale of yoshua bin yosef: WHERE WERE HIS GODDAMN FRIENDS?!?!?!

Chuck Stanley is still going, although he has to remain seated while he preaches now. His son is "big in the biz".

Megachurches are dying. Covid accelerated that.
