I want an independent studio to take Batman on so we don't get the same tired "save the city" kind of cliched moviemaking each time. Have Batman be college-aged and black. Let him struggle with economic disenfranchisement and corruption in a specific town of no more than 700 people and have him think through whether vigilantism is an appropriate substitute for failing/corrupt institutions. The villain can be one of the traditional ones reinterpreted as a corrupt cop or alderman. Action scenes are limited to amateur fighting with some decent MMA from Batman mixed in (he's training). No batplane or batsubmarine or whatever the fuck is in the movies these days. The Batmobile is inspired by souped up cars you see in early Fast and Furious movies. The movie must emphasize character development, not uninspired action or cheap plot twists. The acting must be top-notch

I'm a person who can enjoy a good film critique but I have never once thought about Dark Knight Joker's back story.

It also seems like people want to overthink what the Dark Knight was, which was a well acted movie(outside of Bane) that was standard superhero fluff(which I'm a big fan of) and a relatively stupid final ending. It was just slightly darker and more brooding than Spiderman.
