With Lowry playing injured and now out again for Game 5, Golden State moves up to 6th best.

Might be a blessing in disguise. Lowry looks shot to me. Oladipo has been the better player ever since he cracked the rotation in the playoffs.

Good call on Lowry sitting helping the Heat. Couple of not very exciting Game 5's last night. MIA-PHI should still go 7. GS probably finishes off Memphis tonight. Morant out for the rest of the playoffs and Bane's got some back thing going on. Although the way the Warriors are playing, Jenkins might dial up something to push it back to Golden State for a game 6. MIL-BOS gonna be a war.

Doc complaining about his team not trying in game 5 of a playoff series sure is something.

It looked like Philly was playing the long game last night. They were content to tie it a 2 in the hopes of winning it in 7. Don't know if it will work however. Embiid looked totally disinterested for the most part last night. He only looked engaged when the game was nearly out of reach. And even then I don't know if it was just in order to "get his numbers"

He's really bothered about not winning MVP. I'm surprised that he let it spill over into the game.

Me too. He should have won it imo but its money time now. If he pulls that same stunt next game it will haunt him for the rest of his career. Doc also has to abort mission on Niang. He isn't giving them shit offensively other than a lot FG attempts and he is a bull fighter on defense. Play Paul Milsap or Jordan but please no more Niang!

They should have a rule that the if the guy with the most MVP votes isn't still playing in the playoffs when MVP is announced, they go down the list of MVP vote-getters until they get a player who made the playoffs/didn't get bounced in the first round. e.g., Dirk in 2007 when the "we believe" 8 seed Warriors beat his top seed Mavs in the first round. Kinda bogus that the NBA MVP is riding go-carts and pounding beers in Serbia while Embiid is willing his team to playoff wins with a busted up map.

So you can not win the NBA MVP if your team doesn't make the playoffs?

Maybe if Embiid wanted to be MVP so bad he should have played better than Jokic

I think anyone of Embiid, Jokic, and Giannis could have won the MVP and deserved it. But I also think it's clear that Giannis is easily the best player out of those three and the best overall player in basketball.

Giannis is most effective.. most impactful... Or most valuable if you want to put it that way. I don't see it as anything close right now. He's as dominant as lebron was in his prime.

The Warriors don't have a killer instinct. That may end up costing them a championship.

Id like to see the warriors win it or at least get to the finals.

Their team now reminds me of the late MJ Bulls teams that were long in the tooth but had the experience and championship swagger to win rings.

Their older stars are still relatively young and they still have a young star in Poole and whatever Wiseman will be.

this mike brown coach is terrible. they were lucky to win the last game and are down 27 at the half here. Steve Kerr needs to get back soon.

Lets see if Poole can do it another year. He'd be lucky to have a career like Toni Kukoc

Mike Brown's the reason the Warriors have been any good at defense over the last half a dozen seasons.

yeah, if you were drafting the league from the existing rosters Giannis would go 1st overall. He's getting the Lebron treatment from MVP voters. After Giannis won it twice, the voters talked themselves into sabermetric pretzels to give it to anyone other than the best player in the league.

Golden State just isn't all that good. They caught a lucky draw in the first round when the got matched up with Denver.
They should have lost last game even without Morant and playing on their home floor.
Steph Curry is once again showing that he is Vastly overrated and terribly miscast as an "all time great". That is unless the number starts at "Top 100 All Time Great" at the earliest.

I think people (Hey Bagels you reading?) still want to believe that this is the 73 win team or Durant's Warriors but they are not. They are mostly closer to the team that missed the playoffs last season than they are those teams bur unfortunately very few that really love them are willing to accept it.

Why is Brown coaching? Did Kerr get the boot?

Warriors lose Game 4 if Morant plays.

Mike Brown is a horrible coach.

They better win Game 6 or else.

Bucks impressive comeback victory.

I still think they lose the series. I still think Boston is the better team.

Milwaukee seems to just make plays at the right times and has the ball bounce their way.

Good betting opportunity now. Bucks should be favored to win the series, good time to go moneyline on Boston.

If I were the Sacramento Kings I have to reconsider hiring this Mike Brown guy. How do you lose by 40 with Curry/Thompson/Green on your team.
