I wish I could use the excuse that I meant to hit 9 instead of 6 on my BES/PK double.

I suck.

My choices today in the Preakness are:

#5 Early Voting
#8 Epicenter
#4 Secret Oath
#9 Skippinglongstocking/#2 Creative Minister

I'm also taking a flyer on Creative Minister to win.

Chad Brown has won the Preakness more recently in 2017 with Cloud Computing, while Asmussen won it in 2007 and 2009 with Curlin and Rachel Alexandra.

GL today all.

I don't think you can ignore Simplification as the third or fourth.

In the 8th, Set Piece, YES!

1,5 ex. box in the 11th.

I'm in the black, but kicking myself for not holding on to #2 Lightning Larry at 12-1 in the 8th.

Had 'em in my sights but pulled the trigger on the favorite, Old Homestead, instead. Slipped right through my fingers.

Who is better? Secret Oath or Early Voting? Going to hammer one of these.

That was a terrible ride by Rosario on Epicenter but tactically why did they take him so far off the pace so early? They were walking through the opening quarters this time!

Early Voting was my play - he is green as hell - that final 1/8 was a disaster waiting to happen.

I saw down the card Ethereal Road was back and rated well and beat a lower field - does he come back for the Belmont?

I don't know, but considering the track bias Ethereal Road went a giant trip.

I read that Epicenter got out of the gate bad but I've watched the break a bunch of times and it looked like he came away clean. He was tight between horses early but I'm not buying that the trip cost him the race. I thought Secret Oath had a lot tougher trip.

I didn't really think Early Voting was green. I thought Jose did his reckless thing and steered over to intimidate Epicenter/Rosario.

Agreed on Epicenter, I thought they tried a different strategy and again, it almost worked. The Belmont race has to be wide open, correct?

Also, I had the winner of the Preakness and fucked up betting it.

I think Mo Donegal was born to win the Belmont Stakes. His entire life has been a steady progression toward June 11, 2022.

In total agreement with you here...and post position won't matter in this one...it's all about the long stretch

was working during the Preakness...had gone to the window with Early Voting...if I knew he had ballooned to that price I would've been throwing the money at him
