He did confront Klansman-in-training Josh Donaldson after his comments to Timmy.

Or maybe the pitchers could actually do their jobs and get people out .

Explain the logic of using starter Jimmy Lambert there. Thanks.

Maybe to get him some work? You’re making a great point though it sure looks as if Jimmy Lambert was the problem in the eighth inning.

He led the team in OBP last season. He was second in OPS. He is signed through 2023. It's not going to happen. So find something else to harp on. He's also not under .150 either. But numbers are confusing to you.

Excuse me, I meant under .160
Sorry I shorted him 10 points on his batting average because surely he's in contention for the batting title now.

IDGAF what he did last season. He kills rallies and even though he sucks this year he aint gonna blow you.

Frank, I know that your are incredibly stupid, but he's not below .160 either. Last year shows track record. And he was the best offensive player on the team last year by OBP. Right now even with his batting average he still gets on at a better rate than the current alternative. The very person who you bitched about being in the line-up today. I have to be very direct and specific for you to understand so I'm taking about Reese McGuire.

I am not certain why Grandal is the sole person for you to focus on. The entire offense sucks.

There is an alternative tearing it up in the minors who couldn't possibly do worse than Grandal has done this season. His OBP sucks right now and so do you. Keep propping him up all you want, he still ain't going to blow you.

Why should they get rid of just Grandal when many others are just as bad? I do love that the moron who cries racism as fast as he can turns to homophobia to cover for his complete inability to speak rationally about anything.

Correct. He will retire after this year regardless of how the White Sox finish.

TLR can step away due to health related issues and nobody would bat an eye. If the Sox management and front office were serious about winning, moves would be made. Its a business to them, and not a game. It really sucks.

The manager isn't the thing that is making this team suck.

Joe Girardi just got launched from team that arguably has one of the most powerful lineups in the game and several good pitchers but that team was dreadful. Why isn't that Girardi's fault? And if it is, why would you want him?

The manager is not helping at all. But your point on Girardi is accurate. At least LaRussa can whine about injuries (despite his garbage daily lineup construction and handling of the bullpen). Not sure what Girardi's excuse is going to be.

I generally share your feeling about managers Jorr, but LaRussa's line ups have been mind boggling. Moncada .140 hitting 3rd? Rally killer Grandal continuing to bat 4th, 5th, or 6th? Vaughn hitting 7th yesterday? Yeah, the entire offense is struggling and TLR ain't swinging the bats, but do you really think he is putting the Sox in the best position to win with some of these lineups? Absolutely not.

And it goes back to what you've also said previously about not being able to fire the players...

Sometimes you have to make a move just to make a move. If the Sox go 0-6 on this trip- which is certainly possible if not likely- does a move get made?

I agree that LaRussa makes a lot of curious decisions. He's often like the guy at the craps table tossing hundreds on the "YO" as if he's completely ignorant of the odds.

But this team is just not good. Of course, the injuries aren't helping. But the bullpen that was supposed to be a strength is shaky at best.

I agree that a manager change couldn't hurt, but it wouldn't be because some guy was a "better" manager than LaRussa. It would just be a different guy. Maybe that would shake 'em up. Who knows? But it ain't gonna happen.

Nothing is going to happen unless LaRussa wants out. And other than the Cleveland doubleheader the lineups haven’t been a problem. The offense has collectively sucks.

Maddon often mocked fans and reporters who wanted to talk about lineup construction. The batting order in a single game is almost meaningless. So Maddon was right in a way.

But over the course of a season, you want your best hitters to get the most at-bats and your worst hitters to get the least at-bats. That seems very obvious and like it would be utter common sense. But it isn't conventional wisdom in baseball. In fact, I can't even think of a team that has its best hitter leading off.

 Ironically, the Sox may be the lone exception. Seriously, Anderson isn't supposed to be your best hitter. If he is, you've got problems right off the bat. And that's no knock on Anderson.

If I were managing this would be my basic everyday lineup (assuming everyone is healthy):

Robert CF
Abreu 1B
Moncada 3B
Jimenez DH
Grandal C
Pollock RF
Vaughn LF
Anderson SS
Second Baseman

Even though I hate the White Sox, I feel bad for you guys. “We” have a AAAA team with the Cubs, and you guys have an oft injured under performing team. It would be way more fun if both teams were highly competitive with a dream of a WS matchup.

This sux.

That looks like a solid 3rd place lineup in the PowerHouse AL Central.

Outside of Anderson and Robert, yes the offense as a whole sucks. But you're just kidding yourself if you think some of these lineups haven't been problematic. Grandal leading off, Leury 3rd, Vaughn buried at 7th or 9th. That's brutal and its a problem. Saying otherwise is flat wrong.

Just yesterday Grandal is up with the bases loaded and looks at strike three because he's trying to take a walk. Vaughn is left on deck.

Robert CF
Vaughn LF
Abreu 1B
Burger DH
Moncada 3B
Engel RF
Grandal/McGuire C
Leury SS
Mendick 2B

I'd run that lineup out there for the next 5 games straight and see what gives.

It's tough not to have a Hall of Fame duo like Schwisdom in the middle of your lineup!

Combined HR's
Scwindel/Wisdom = 18

Abrue/Moncada = 8

Wouldn't you kill for some Schwisdom on the south side!

Cubs are actually 11th in baseball in runs scored. The horrible starting pitching is the problem, if you compute the numbers it's easy to deduce their record. I know the only computing you do is how many miles you are going to travel on your next vaccine hunting adventure, but try it out sometime.
