I get that I have to employ a bit of suspension of disbelief for the sake of narrative, but it bugs me that Homelander wouldn't just have Butcher tailed 24hrs a day in order to find out where Ryan lives.

i mean, he is basically playing the same character.

this show is still great entertainment. usually i'm not a fan of tone-shifting like this (it's sometimes all over the place) but somehow it works. kripke also managed this with "supernatural" so it makes sense.

i also like the weekly drop schedule. gives more incentive to look forward to fridays, which is already usually automatically a great day.

I can not wait to see this weeks episode.

I haven’t seen tonight’s episode but the show is all about Homelander. Everybody else is comically under matched. I was hopeful he’d embrace being an asshole after that speech but he seemed to immediately revert to the Q rating concerns.

i don't think any of that has changed since the 1st season. the wild tonal shifts have been a part of the show since the first episode. i'm sure the comics have a ton more fucked up carnage, knowing garth ennis.
