Yes it’s early but grabbed third row for the game on the 4th. 3:10 game. Plenty of time to get home for fireworks…..

Figures Caratini would hit the game-winning homer after striking out four times.

Thanks, was a crazy ride home. We went downtown after the game for dinner. But it was down pouring all the way to Madison.

Great game. The in the park homer was a first for me. Their short stop made a fantastic back handed stop and perfect throw from the outfield grass to save a run. Justin had great stuff. But the Cubs could not hit the 92-94 mph fastball. They kept swinging through it. At one point they had struck out 13 times. It probably ended up being more.

And Caratini after four strike out swingings….wow, what a way to be a hero. He crushed that ball. 42,000 fans. There was a fight in the right field area behind the bullpen. It was lively.

typical cubs' loss - the hero of last series grounds into a late killer DP while happ K'd 4 times. hader pitched the night before and suzuki made counsel pay for that - counsel gets the last laugh. not a fan of steele - has been fairly decent, good start yesterday.

Where was Caratini with this power when he was with the cubs? Outside of 2019 when the ball was juiced and everyone was hitting homeruns (as evidenced by Heyward's 21) Caratini had all the pop of Larry Bowa circa 1984 Cubs.

Pretty obvious Ross is under orders to tank sit hot hitters occasionally, or to showcase bums like Bote. They have to be hoping Stroman is light out in a few pre-trade deadline nappearances to unload him.

I know this is anecdotal

Hottovy's visits to the mound are useless, usually a coach goes to the mound and settles his guy. nothing good happens when he visits his pitcher. Swarmer walks two guys on 8 ptiches, Hottovy goes to the mound and then Swarmer proceeds to walk the next guy on 5 pitchers

Even the Cubs aren't dumb enough to trade a guy who has been hurt most of the year and bad when he has pitched

I'm running for governor of Wisconsin on the premise of building a wall on the Illinois boarder. It will only need be to 4ft high and made of drywall as long as there is a sign every few feet that says "Indiana"
