I guess Menechino's dogshit coaching made him kick the bucket.

I seem to remember a print story that the lottery win ended up being more of a curse than a blessing.

He seemed like a good guy but I can't say whether he bought drinks

was 70 when he won it? left a lot of money on the table by taking the lump sum. if he took the annual installments - prob wouldn't have had money that was spent frivolously. 70 y/o, i'm sure it made sense to him to take the lump sum. i believe he could have made a trust and the checks would have kept coming for 26 years, even if he died at 71.

I used to drive past that Westgate Valley subdivision and see that Graceland replica. It's kind of funny that it was associated with Snelius.

It's always an interesting story to read. The tragedies were all going to happen whether he was rich or poor.

I think anyone who goes to Graceland is underwhelmed by the house.

It's an overpriced tourist trap.

Sun Studio is the FAR SUPERIOR option for music tourism in Memphis.

totally agree

however, when you hear elvis you think he'd have a big, gaudy, ostentatious home base. Graceland wouldn't even be a mansion in Snellius subdivision of mansions

Doesn't part of that have to do with when the house was built? Also, Graceland gets a false vibe because of the neighborhood the house is in now, when the house was built it was arguably the nicest area in Memphis at the time.
