M&A contracts are designed to make it extremely difficult for a buyer to walk away, especially for frivolous reasons like the one Musk is claiming. Aside from not being able to prove that the number of bots will have a material adverse effect on revenue (which is required to make a claim that the representations by the seller were false), he has said multiple times he was going to buy Twitter to "solve the bot problem"! You can't sign a deal stating you want to fix a problem with the target company and then claim you didn't know they had a problem.

He is on slightly better legal ground on the "covenant" front, where he is claiming Twitter violated their promise to provide him with ALL the data he asked for. Twitter surely has given him everything they can legally provide, which is scary considering they could be giving a lunatic personal data on billions of individuals, only for him to torpedo the deal. A judge/jury would see right through that.

There are certain things I like about Musk, but I would love to see him go from the richest man in the world to the poorest.

I think calling the diver who helped save the boys trapped in a cave a pedophile was malicious. I think his frequent violations of securities law (i.e., making unfounded statements about Tesla, through Twitter!) should be punished.

Musk is a smart guy but I think being ultra rich has brought out the worst in him. I think he could do more for society if he were humbled a bit and didn't always get his way.

Dude so I said something ike this to my dad the other day, kinda just to fuck with him. He started getting unusually agitated. "What do you mean African american!" I said he was born in Africa. "Well what's his heritage?" I said African. I mean he's African and he has American citizenship so I'm pretty sure that makes him an African American. "Right but where is his family from?" I said Africa dude. "No where were they born?" I said I think his mom was born in Canada, I don't know where his dad was born. "So he's not African is he?" I was just laughing at that point. It was a thing.
