cubs didn't lay down for scherzer, but the usually deficiencies did them in. ortega couldn't catch a ball for an unearned run and the cubs had a man on 3rd with 1 out - more than once, and couldn't get him in. no focus when needed while batting in clutch situations. cubs pitchers only gave up 1 earned run in game 2 and lose 4-3 in 10 innings. the situational hitting is brutal.

frustration setting in...ross getting tossed every game now, all-star happ yesterday. ortega wants to fight mcneil. maybe happ thinks he deserves more respect at the plate, as an all-star. scherzer gets more pull on borderline pitches.
