Ok "noticeably absent". Whenever anyone from the Tiki Torch crowd vanishes Pittchfork starts creating threads such as this as way of voicing his indignation. There are MANY guys that have left and the only time he bitches and complains is when it is someone who shares his "ideology". Coincidence? Not at all.

Shouldn't the mere presence of "well liked" guys such as Pittchfork and Ballpark be enough to bring the "Dearly Departed" back however? I mean they have "broken bread" with MANY of the people that post here over the years. And when Pittchfork isn't running women away by requesting to lick their asses he just might possibly be a fairly likable guy to be around.

Mike's a good guy. I have hung out with him enough times to know that. I do not understand his (and certain others) obsession with you. You and I have always been able to engage thoughtfully even though we have broad differences in our politics.

LTG had a chance to be a moderator. He turned it down so he could perpetually bbitch about how terrible this place is. Like DiCaro ranting about womyn, she left a career where she could have made a difference. LTG had a chance to step up and have a direct input on content that was allowed to not allowed to be posted, and he backed down like he always does.

My board relationship with you is much like mine with LTG, no issues.

What I see is a barrage of people antagonizing him. Nothing says you guys have to keep responding. It feels like he is fighting against a dozen posters around here. From outside it has the appearance of people ganging up. But he fights ably back. He does not need my help.

FF maybe will return for the NFL season. He missed out on posting during the NBA playoffs/post-season drama. I dunno who else is missing, several hit and run posters. Spanky, I think still sometimes. CH doesn't post as much, he's almost down to Rogers Park Bryan frequency. Maybe the election ramp up will draw CH back more. If not the mid-terms maybe 2024. Oh, the guy, goes by thomas now, posted in books a lot. Not so much anymore. I guess there are more missing than I realized.

You're not a bigot and Mike is. That is what his and a few others obsession happens to be. And it has nothing to do with disagreeing either. We (me and you) don't agree on everything. Education being one of them. It has never gotten personal and has always been a respectful disagreement. I'm sure there are other things politically as well but it is a rather respectful disagreement.

Mike and Ballpark however(and a few others) became indignant because I happened to call a few of their fellow bigots out. If you trace the arc of their "obsession" you will find that it began there. Their objective has been to use a few of the more vocal bigots as convenient cover for their own bigotry and views. That is pretty much what all of this is about.

I used to drunk post for fun. Those days are long gone as I am too busy and I absolutely don't stay up as late as I once did. When I do now its simply drunk pissed off when I get to the point of reading the same shit from him again and again.
