I'd take that for a week. Or just a guy who can articulate an underlying vision for the roster beyond "I want guys who hit hard".

Have you listened to other introductory press conferences for NFL GMs? Which GMs strike you as the Mario Savio of the sports world?

The Bengals offensive line sucks, The Rams offensive line is middle of the road. Aaron Rodger's played behind a 4th string oline this year. It all comes down to the Quarterback, is he great or not. I'm not saying Oline isn't important it is, but it's not as simple as building an elite Oline=automatic superbowl. If the QB still sucks, it was all for not.

Those teams also have arguably the top 3 WR's in football. It helps to have a guy that you can throw the ball to. Mooney is the Bears best WR and his ceiling is that of a #2 WR.

Sounds like Parkins' theory is correct

Great WR's+Good Oline > Great Oline+Good WRs

You need the QB no matter what

Parkins is a dolt.

Those WR's in KC haven't won as many games for them since their O-line has fallen to sub par.

Mahomes doesn't have all day anymore in the pocket to wait for the deep post or the deep crossing pattern to come open.

Explain the Bengals in the Superbowl? Their Oline is shit.

They commit to running the football.

Packers didn't stick with it and lost
Chiefs Went away from it in the second half and lost
49ers - See the Chiefs
Bucs- Went away from the run in the 1st half

Chiefs didn’t lose because they didn’t commit to the run in the 2nd half -their defense can’t stop anyone, and their play calling took a nose dive in the 3rd quarter.. they also made a dumb call at the end of the 1st half not taking the points.. there’s more to it than just those things, but there’s a couple..

But not sticking with the run is nonsense as far as that loss goes, that had nothing to do with them losing -especially since they did run in the 2nd half.

We're going to hire Dan Bernstein just for you. That way you can can get the condescending football talk that your heart desires.

I don't think you have anything but blue chip prospects after Quinn and Roquan. Mack is done and Allen Robinson should be gone.

I don't disagree. I was trying to come up with the names Polian might have been referring to. Maybe he's just being overly positive on a radio show.

Once he shoved that guy in the Vikings game he became the best player in the team.

Poles is a dumbass. Should’ve written him off when he cried in his intro.

I've been making that point since February. The money they wasted on Foles could have been used to front load contract offers to Bates or Allen. I don't think Buffalo would have been able to match the Bears offer if they had gone a few million higher in the first year, and the Rams may have had a similar problem.

If Poles isn't deliberately undermining the offense/Fields, then this move is a sign of incompetence.

He's not very good at his job. He was just in the same draft room when Mahomes was drafted much like Nagy was in the same room(QB Coach) as Andy Reid.

Refresh my memory...has Poles made a single move yet that is considered good? He botched the FA signings, traded draft picks for multiple lower ones (which could turn out good, but no way of knowing yet), let the punter walk, gave millions to Foles for no reason, and has given Fields zero help. That doesn't even include assembling a questionable coaching staff, but I'll blame George and Ted for that.

1. Not being Ryan Pace

2. Found a sucker for Thieving Mack

3. Stayed disciplined to his plan

4. Got the Bears out of cap hell

5. Positioned the Bears to have a monster 2023

6. Turned 5 draft picks into 11

7. Dumped nearly all of the dead weight off the roster

We'll see how smart Poles is when Getsy debuts his offense. If he takes advantage of Fields strengths and prevents him from repeating the dumb mistakes he made last year, I'm beginning to think this team can win between 7 and 10 games. A lot depends on the coaching, though. Did Poles make the right hires? We'll see.

It's clear that the defensive line sucks, though--with or without Goldman.

That depends on Fields. If Fields is really good to great, then that's false. If Fields plays like he did last year, that's possibly an understatement.

The roster was middle to bottom middle tier. Poles made it bottom of the bottom tier.

All the moves that were made tell me that the Bears are going to test how much fans really want them to run the football.

I don't have an issue with the line if Quinn plays.
