There was definitely a small hook echo on radar and very strong rotation. That storm could have dropped a tornado at any moment. It was smart to have it tornado warned for a while.

We had minor damage near the Lake, but next county east has people not getting power back until Friday due to wind damage. There appears to be a similar cell rising about 100 miles east of the one exploding over Chicago on the above satellite video

Was kind of happy to see that one track north. Yesterdays rain was impressive in rain totals but at least it was a calm system.

This thing is moving slowly, just like yesterday. It was just north of us until pushing a bit south. Now it is a downpour with impressive thunder and lightning.
