Amazing writer. Amazing historian. Voice of Ken Burns Civil War and voiceovers everywhere.

Frequent guest on Extension 720. He had a little shed, fully funished office in the woods of his home where he would go out and work each day on his books.

The books on John Adams and Truman are excellent but I also recommend his book on the creation of The Panama Canal. So many other books I still need to read.

An amazing storyteller and historian. A true loss.

outstanding writer for sure. made a great run at it, at 89. "john adams" was absolutely absorbing, i remember. RIP.
