Now that our Lord and Savior FF is no longer with us, do we need to start a new Packers thread? What if he wasn't really a Packers fan?

No. We have to keep this thread going in his memory.

It's more than a little ironic that Zippy is counseling me to pay closer attention to the Bears when he was unaware that Watson would be on the shelf for an extended period in the first place.

Physician, heal thyself.

Or at least get your hands on some ayahuasca to facilitate your return to the alternate reality that is Packerland.

It doesn't matter who's injured on the Bears - the roster is just a blob of middling players except for maybe five guys who sort of have separated themselves from the rest. In Madden terms the WR corps is a bunch of players rated between 67-75, with Mooney being maybe a 78.

But, this being a Packers thread, I'm so glad to see how Adams leaving the Packers actually unlocks the offense, per their own fans.

What are you talking about? I simply said the preseason PUP list isn't the same as the regular season one - which is most certainly true. From what I've read, he'll be back soon and playing in the preseason (albeit not this week). I am more worried that he'll suck than about him missing a few weeks of training camp. Now Bak...that's another story.

You introduced the point about the preseason PUP to imply that Watson's injury isn't serious and that he wouldn't miss extended time in training camp. If that weren't the case, there would have been no reason to make the point in the first place.

Is it your contention that you knew all along that Watson was going to miss a few weeks or more of training camp?

Yes, but I believe he originally spelled his moniker "FarveFan" and needed us lunkheaded Bear fans to point out the error, which he then had Big Fan correct. That should tell you everything you need to know.

My contention was that it wasn’t a big deal.

I'll take that as a "no".

At least you're not as obviously uninformed as UMN, though.

If the Packers are better without Davante Adams, imagine how much better they'd be without Aaron Rodgers!

This is the same thing Bears fans have been saying about our QBs for decades.

I haven't. I saw the headline and thought he was in mid-season form.

If he was in mid-season form, he would be holding a clip board.

You shouldn't say those things about your future starting quarterback.

Good to see some of our injured returning to the practice field. Hopefully they will be ready for opening day.

I wonder if UMN still thinks that Watson's absence is due to some salary cap/roster maneuvering by Gutekunst.

I didn't say that, are they on the opening day 53?
