The best part was AJ basically saying he wasnt a major league hitter because he couldnt catch up to a fastball.

I see a great trade though.....the yankees have sent Miguel Andujar down and he has asked for a trade. Him for Robertson straight up....lets dance.

They need to start to consolidate the back 5 of their 40 man first. Rivas is already roster crunched this week when Bote is due to come back, unless Villar is healthy and can be DFA. I don't see where they would put Andujar right now on the 40-man.

Wisdom better than Andujar. Just because it's Yankee garbage it's still garbage.

Wainwright is leading a charmed life. The Cubs are tattooing him.

Isn't it 1-0?

Heyward somehow has 3 hits and 3 rbi in these past 2 games but my god does his swing look awful. His lower body is long gone by the time he get the bat anywhere near the zone. He looks like he is swinging an axe and using the biggest lever arm possible in doing so.

Perez praised him for not trying to do too much with today's hits pitch and dribble it in the vacated SS position.

AJ was amazing last night on heaters "He's late... He's late again... He's still late"...

Steele deserves a win tonight. Didn't try to strike guys out, just induced a lot of grounders. Cubs baserunning has been aggressively unfortunate or else he'd be up 4-2 after 7 instead of tied.

Boy these blabbering announcers slobbering all over Wainwright sure got quiet after the Higgins double.

I saw a few more of Heyward's amazing at bats. What on earth is he doing with his lower body weight shift? Once he swings and has transferred the energy from his back leg to his front leg he looks like he is about to lose his balance and doesn't even have his front foot firmly planted. He is kind of on the side of his foot and it almost rolls over on him. Its one of the strangest things I have seen.

Of course the announcers had to bring up his community work and inspirational speech as there is nothing in the actual game to compliment him on. AJ was so awesome last night.

His last AB, David Cone and Eduardo Perez pretty much ripped his swing to shreds.

I'd venture 99% of professional athletes are active in their community doing charitable work in varying degrees who are never mentioned,

He must not be having fun then . That hustle stuff is old white man baseball from the 50’s 60’s and 70’s . All that does is stifle the joy of todays care free minority players who need to be allowed to play hard only when they want to . Give me the bat flip and loafing down the line , that’s really where it’s at.

So Molina took off three games in the middle of a pennant race to visit a team he owns that was playing in Puerto Rico?

Is Sciambi unaware UConn has a powerhouse women's basketball program?
He can only regurgitate stats he found on google. He isn't smart enough to converse with Glanville.

Googling it in-house seems petrified to be quoted. But one article said the team obviously was quite unhappy. Imagine if this was Aaron Rodgers?

From the manager.

When asked how the conversations between Molina and the organization took place regarding the catcher’s decision to leave, manager Oli Marmol dismissed them as a “non-issue across the board.”

“He’s a grown man,” Marmol said. “We had the conversation and left the room on the same page as far as he’ll be back Monday and in the lineup.”

They obviously feel that Killian hasn't mastered the adjustments they wanted him to make after his early season call up.

Hopefully once they DFA Farrell tomorrow morning they will bring up Jeremiah Estrada, who is on the same fast track as Padilla (started in South Bend and kept on getting promoted). With the glut of guys needing to be added to the 40 man as a result of the lost 2020 season slowing down their development, let's see what they've got for these last seven weeks.

Was in car and listening to Cardinals broadcast when Arenado was tossed. Their radio team threw a hissy fit because the umpire should know that Arenado is one of their best players and it is not fair to toss him that early in the game

Pujols hit a weak grounder (73.7 exit velo) to McKinstry in the 2nd. Pujols didn't make it halfway to 1st. Looked like he was walking to 1st.
