Sports Stadiums you've been to..John O'Donnell Stadium? That's HUGE. I played high school football and baseball in that stadium. For the last 35 years I didn't realize it was so big time until I saw it on your list. A suggestion: minor league baseball parks and high school fields don't quite count as a real "Sports Stadium".

Another thought....Most people don't identify themselves with photos and last names on their websites. Good luck with that strategy, but anybody in the world could find you now in about five minutes. And I wouldn't be as concerned about people ripping you on your website as I would be about stalkers...actually you know..RIPPING you.

If you happenned to cross the Columbus drive you can add it to the venerable list since that's where many local races start and end. My favorite sporting event at the venue though is the Taste of Chicago. Ugly celebration of gluttony in a 100 degree heat.

Ah yes, leave it to Coast to be the dumbass. Here's the thing coast, if I've been to minor league or above I'm putting it on there. It's not meant to be a "look how great i am because i've been to these places." I just like to keep track. Plus its just fun for me and my friends to yap about some of the old places we used to go to. John O'Donnell has been renovated and is an excellent minor league park, even getting a spread in the ESPN magazine as one of the coolest minor league parks. As for my full name on the internet...how old are you, a 75-year-old putz? Are you one of those thats pretty much scared of anything in the world? My god, my....my full name is on the internet! I've been found! People will stalk me! Well since I'm not a cyber sex talker (maybe thats your concern) and certainly not famous, I'm not too worried about this. Plus my full name has been listed (oh god!) on there internet before that site when I did TV and was a high school teacher. Classic post Junior Soprano

Yea, I'm fine with ripping...it doesn't actually bother me. However, I can't help to make fun of someone when he says stalkers will come get me and "rip me" Why is it when I make fun of someone, and clearly to me that was so funny how old and scared that made him look, that you guys are like woah man, chip on your shoulder! Woah! Haha, no. I'm ripping on people. I'll continue to do so whether you guys like it or not I guess.

After further review i should have just laughed off the john O'Donnel comment. I wasn't actually mad about it, but the way I wrote that part made it look that way. I was just trying to throw some info about the ballpark. I'm a fan of all ballparks, big and small.

I think calling others on this board names like dumbass is something I haven't seen before. We have criticized others and I certainly have criticized the actions of others...but most of us generally have refrained from name calling. It's no big deal to me being called names, but it does bring a new low in incivility to this board we haven't seen before.

I also think using the term "stalking" was probably not the right word. Stalking is just the tip of the iceberg as to what could happen when one puts their name and photo on the net. It's an unlikely scenario, but it is the most potentially harmful. But if that doesn't concern Ryan, then it doesn't concern me. I am thinking of personal security and privacy in several contexts. Here are a few questions I would consider before one should place their photo and personal info on a website: 1) If someone (a prospective employer, for example) is doing a background check 5,10,or 20 years in the future and they googled your name, what would they find? 2) Is there anything on the net that you would not want a current or future boss to see? 3) Is the fun you are having today worth possibly not getting hired or promoted in the future? 4) Is there anything on the net that you would not want a possible future spouse or children (present or future) to see?

If asking those questions makes me a dumbass, so be it. It comes with age, I guess. When I was 25, I had all the answers. Now, at 50, I just have the questions.

Now come on, you are kidding right? There has been no name calling by any of the regulars? I know for a fact thats not true. I will say I haven't seen you or Nastradamus name call, but virtually every other regular on here has. As for the other stuff, I understand your point. Again, not worried about the stalking. It's all good for you then. I just know that simple innocent things we do now may come back to haunt us later. It's a long life and the net's memory is infinite. I know first-hand about this as I have been asked by my boss about my previous internet gambling advice enterprise. I know another guy who, if he were aware, would wish a "drinking buddy" photo of himself would never have been posted on the net. I know a company that does google searchs of prospective employees and found a photo of this prospective interviewee in a drunken stupor. They decided anyone with that poor of judgement to 1) allow themselves to BE drunk in public, and 2) allow their photo of it to be on the net, probably should work somewhere else. I also would suggest one watch nicknames of themselves that are published on the net. I'd suggest, for example, that someone who goes by the handle of something like...oh i don't know...."drinky" for example....might just be the kind of person some future prospective employers might not be interested in.

I'll tell you this. I'm kind of glad there wasn't an internet 25 years ago. I'd be afraid to see some of the stuff I might have done on the net then that might be coming back to bite me now.

I'm here to tell you that my company does that kind of background checks including a google search, myspace searches and all sorts of things to find out what kind of person they are hiring. Things that you may feel are harmless, will 9 times out of 10 come back and bite you in the ass.

How would anyone ever know that "drinky" on some message board was actually "Todd Wilkinson"? Wouldn't you have to be using your real name?

I realize that...you guys certainly have taken a concern and liking for this young whippersnapper who has much to learn.

You wouldn't. I'm more referencing anything that has your full name on it, like some anti bush post made at some point that you signed your full name, or in Ryan's case if he uses his full first and last name in regards to a radio show, that will always pop in a search. Plus, its scary, but there are ways to link nicknames to actual people.
