The lead hasn't been very good out there. It seems like you need to be close but not right on the front.

Can Maker close it out here with this 8 at a big price? It looks like they cut this guy and then held him for this spot.

some thoughts on a big Saturday card

Race 5 the 12-Under One Sky Trainer Eddie Kenneally has had some bombs here at this track…getting faster and has solid pedigree for this distance

Keep an eye on horses that have just run at Saratoga, they boast a strong 19% Win rate at KD…Race 7 the 8-Callie’s Grit (6/1) fits with a really hot jock aboard

Race 10 the 3 Pixelate won this very race a year ago and can’t be discounted…the other two I’m focused on is the 6-Mr. Dumas, cause he’s just a bitch, and the 7-Kentucky Ghost who has been swimming in some deep waters

Nice value upcoming in a few minutes in race 3

the 4-Romancer won at KD last year...top choice in the Will Pays for the Pick 3 9/2 right now

Same thinking in the next race (hopefully better results)

in a race with so many unknowns (and big prices that go with it) I'm going to key on the 12-Gaslight Dancer who fits on paper and is the 2nd choice on the will pays and yet is paying 7/1...Exacta Key box 12 with all..$22 hoping to catch a nice price

Race 5 Keying on the 12-Under One sky...solid 2nd on this course last year leads me to think that trainer Kenneally (who is hot) will have this filly ready

Thoughts on Labor Day

Race 4 the 12-Hilliard...getting faster and should relish the marathon distance

Tough loss by a neck or so...on to Race 5 I like the 3-Clubbing here...trainer Shug has had this gelding primed in the mornings...fits well

Couple things I’m watching Saturday 9/110

Trainer Shug McGaughey gets it done the old-fashioned way, and has a lot of success placing horses on this unique track…two live ones today in Race 3-Berate and Race 8 the 9-Stolen Holiday

I’m a Horse for the course and this one fits like a glove…Race 6 the 10-Mud Pie has two wins in 14 tries…both of them came on this track...that’s nearly impossible…6/1 morning line has Tyler Gafflione on board

Horses coming out of Monmouth races do surprisingly well, and often overlooked by the public…in the 11th the 1-Baystorm should get a nice trip behind the favorite the 10-Campenele…exacta box 1, 10

Race 5 is rescheduled today due to rainout…lots of pace should set up nicely for the 12-Kentucky Ghost who is 12/1 on the ml

3rd Race: 1) She's Gone should have won last out at Ellis. Bejarano has to get her rolling sooner but she fits here and should be able to work out a good trip.

4th Race: 5) Course Runner ate a lot of dirt last time out at Saratoga. That obviously isn't going to happen on the lawn today. This should be a softer spot than those dirt races at the Spa.

If I can get the 10-1, I'd take #7 Admission Office in the Kentucky Turf Cup today.

Nice prices on both. You're pretty good at this shit.

Sunday

Race 1 the 11-Just say when would be a great value ay 3-1 but the price will drop…I also like the 5-Napa Spirit…trainer Walsh is strong at KD and wins at an 18% rate 2nd off a layoff..12/1

Race 2-going back to Walsh with a Win bet on the 8-Retained

Race 9-Koala Princess has already won at this track and now cuts back

I'm using your two horse in the first if I decide to play the PK-5. Also throwing in the 9.

2nd Race- I think this is a good spot and the right distance for 12) Meant To Be Lucky. I'm tempted to single him.

4th Race- I like the Saffie Joseph horses in this one. Hoping the 14 goes. He probably won't.

Off day and Tuesday racing at Kentucky Downs…well ok, somebody’s got to do it…weather looks good and turf is firm

Race 1 the 1-Always Late boasts the fastest turf numbers and gets Rosario, who does well in turf sprints…trainer Mott has been cold this meet, but has many in here today and could warm up quickly…the 6-Nota Bene will close best of all perhaps, and ran strong against some stiff competition at Saratoga in July…another to keep an eye on the 8-Sharp hero nice win at this distance at Hawthorne last out and Loveberry should give him a good ride from the 8 post at a huge price….and finally the 11-Touch of Class, huge price morning line, currently dropped down to 9/2 great trainer numbers in this situation, cuts back and should be able to sit behind a fair amount of speed

Race 2 seems a bit of a jumble for me, I’m doing a small exacta 4 5 8/4 5 8 10

Race 3…the 2-American Starlet has had the most success on turf of this young group…Ward/Gafflione tandem hard to beat…the 9-Park On The Nile was pulled up last out but morning workouts show the 3 YO Filly is back at it…Hernandez had a couple victories last week, should be a nice price
