Has Dan Campbell heard about this? Ihmir Smith-Marsette clearly possesses the fahr and the pashun Campbell craves.

Yes, but it is still excellent work.

Like you always say about Poles, let the man work his plan.

I will not complain about the job he's doing

We'll have to settle for wild cards because there's only one team that going to take the NFC North and never give it back.

The Vikings cut receiver Ihmir Smith-Marsette after acquiring receiver Jalen Reagor in a trade with the Eagles.

That's why they signed Reagor. Marsette told cornerback Booth Jr. that he better sleep with his eyes open among other issues. It's a culture move by Kwesi. Bears should sign him, he'd be their #2 WR.

He has been an asshole going all the way back to Iowa. He has some talent. I wouldn't hate the Bears signing him as they should be looking for young WR with upside

He'll probably start against the 49ers.

Ha! Love it! It's going to make the Bears/Vikes games even more interesting. Who's going to get more after the whistle penalties, Teven Jenkins or ISM?

Vikings perspective on ISM at 3 minutes 27 seconds

Kwesi says ISM is a 'great kid', but Vikes only have 53 roster spots.

I think he'll be the Vikings #2 WR by year's end and Thielen will be more of a redzone specialist. Osborn has a chance to be really good I think.

There was talk of that because they have deep rb group, but Mattison is the only other big back and Cook tends to get hurt. Mattison will probably become a free agent at the end of this year.

Interesting article on Zimmer and the Vikings new culture.

https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2 ... ch-better/

This quote reminded me of Eberflus and the Bears HITS philosophy...so many Bears too hurt to practice or play in the pre-season could come back to bite them unless Eberflus tones it down.

I mean, you’ve got guys who are beat up just from practice. They’ve got to go play a game on Sunday. And we literally beat the shit out of each other on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday.”

As for the Vikings, I am thrilled with the new coach and hopefully optimistic with the new GM. #Skol

The opposite of HITS. Where the Bears had injuries all training camps, the Vikings were healthy. We'll see which approach turns out to be best.

Nagy would have the Bears starters bubble wrapped all training camp too. They weren't prepared and they got injured almost immediately.

This should be a real test for the (supposedly) top tier Packers defense. If the Vikings get up by a couple of scores early, I’m definitely concerned with the Packers ability to come back this early in the season.

Should be a fun game. I hate that it's right out of the gate instead of later on, but at least we'll be healthy. I don't see the Vikings winning though.

Tom Pelissero
@TomPelissero
The #Packers are expected to be without LT David Bakhtiari (knee), RT Elgton Jenkins (pectoral/knee) and WR Allen Lazard (ankle) today against the #Vikings, sources tell me and
@RapSheet
.

Yosh Nijman slated to start in Bakhtiari’s place on Aaron Rodgers’ blind side.

Nice win. I'll take it. Vikings got a bit conservative after taking the early lead where a Packers team would have poured it on. But, I get it...new coach and staff who were happy being up 17 points. Still have some concerns about the middle of the Oline and the back-end of the defense, but it's a good start to the season. Next week the Vikings have the Eagles in Philly on Monday, so I don't have high hopes for a win coming out of there. Yesterday gives us a little breathing room and keeps us tied with the team that's going to take the NFC North and never give it back.

It goes without saying that Jefferson is a stud. In this new offense, he could get 2000 yards if he stays healthy. Where other players going out of bounds, he looks to see if he can get more yards or score. DB's have gotten used to WR's going out after catching a sideline pass. Jefferson takes advantage of that.

He's an absolute stud. Thielen may have retired though.

I had the #2 pick in a fantasy draft and took Jefferson. The only person I would have taken over him was Taylor.

I would have taken Chase over Jefferson. In fact, I would have considered taking Chase over Taylor if I couldn't trade out of the #1 spot.

Kirk has tunnel vision right now. But, teams are going to take Jefferson away and force other receivers to make plays. Not sure on Thielen either though...

Too many check-downs yesterday after a big first half. O'Connell wants Kirk to turn it loose more.

True. They will have to double his Xanax dose or something. I don't have high hopes for this game.
