In the fourth race both the 6 Master Game and the 9 Almanzo are first time geldings from sharp outfits. I have to believe cutting a colt and then pointing to this meet with its $150,000 maiden purses is a sign of real intent.

Race 4…best bet in this one is the 4-Sutherland..2/3 on the turf and today might be graduation day…solid jock and great trainer numbers (21% 3rd off layoff)…Longshot! The 7-Vinco tries turf for the 1st time and bred to mow the lawn, at a huge price…I agree with you, JORR,...The 9-Almanzo had a bad outing last and may scare away some bettors, but has a real chance here…two previous turf efforts were quite strong…The 11-Street Fight…solid turf pedigree and back sprinting where he belongs and has much stronger speed numbers

Good call on Sutherland.

I'm really high on the 1 in the 7th race at this price. She should step up off that first start in North America. Seemed reasonably competitive in European Group 1 races. She was all bottled up in the stretch in that last start.

Couple early thoughts

Race 1…3-Tiffanys Mo Ran very strong at this level at CD this summer, fits, currently 5/1 off a 12/1 morning line, somebody else likes him…5-Shady Road…had trouble in last but still popped a good turf speed number, cuts back…7-Inrigue…first turf but pedigree is strong, gets Irad…10-Lenni Be Lucky…trainer Sharp wins 16% of the time on turf and has Rosario up currently a juicy 14/1

Huge fields all day long on the final day.

There are 54 horses in the Final P5…lots and lots of losing tickets, so whoever wins will be bringing back a lot of money.
