Game will be the first noon kickoff that ends.

Good call, especially the bold part.

8/17 sounds like an Allen Iverson line

Fields’ completions for the first three games: 8, 7, 8. Has any team in the modern era ever had fewer?

I'm sure we did in the Quinn/Krenzel/Burris era?

Just looked it up...last time the Bears had a season with three games of fewer than 10 completions was 1990 with Jim Harbaugh -- but they won the division. Maybe Eberflus is onto something!

Right, if they threw it more than they did they probably lose.

Give Fields more time sure. But, Tony Herron on the Score is too positive right now in his words "Fields will be an excellent quarterback".

The Bears won because Butkus was there.

Lovie being there at Soldier Field would normally have him win, but Butkus tipped the scales in the Bears favor.

That’s the Roquan smith that is worth paying.

Dominique does something noteworthy every game

Some good and bad from Gordon and vildor

Pass rush was largely missing

Morrow also had his first good game

Consider this the goodbye Monty game in the off season

You and MANY media members have overrated him. I never thought Poles would pay him.

He’s a three down back who does everything you want of a running back. He isn’t elite but those guys aren’t as common as people think. Herbert doesn’t have all of his skills. Who knows, maybe the rest of the league holds him in the same esteem as you and he will be affordable

Should’ve kept Cordarelle Patterson.

He's a hard runner and a good leader. He blocks better than Herbert and probably catches the ball better. He's nowhere near the same runner as Herbert. This offense needs a runner like Herbert.

Not used to seeing a Bears D so soft up the middle, gonna be very expensive in terms of cap room and draft picks to rebuild the DT and LB positions, just guys there now, mostly other teams rejects and it shows.

Fields is being given an opportunity to show what he can or can't do and so far he's showing almost a regression in his ability to read defenses, still holding the ball to try to force downfield throws and is taking sack after sack because he refuses to take what the D gives him, he won't be a starting QB for long unless he improved dramatically.

Still think Poles and Getsy already know what they need to know about Fields and so far this year is showing them they were correct, this is the only explanation for the approach this season.

They must have read one of my posts, noticed they had Reiff in there on goal line instead of Kmet on goal line. This speaks volumes about what they think of Kmet as a blocker, route runner, and pass catcher, but even more disturbingly, shows they cannot rely on Fields or Kmet to execute a simple play action pass, not good for your first and second round picks in their second and third years. These plays are layups for most teams, but non-existent with Fields under center.

Rarely see three starters on an NFL offensive line get physically overpowered at the point of attack like you did to the LT, RT, and Center on several plays Sunday. Patrick snapping with only one arm would seem a better option, not sure why they are not just leaving Jenkins out there and giving TE help (maybe not Frank look out block Kmet) to the LT on every passing play. Braxton Jones shows great quickness and closing speed when he his running behind the DE who just beat him on his way to help Fields up off the ground.

Would love to hear what Eberflus is saying the headset during games, it looks as if he is telling his OC what not to run based on what he is seeing from Fields.

Eddie Jackson is back to creating turnovers. A forced fumble and a pick.

The pic was more a case of being in the right place at the right time, but he is playing better.

We should give the offensive line more credit. They created a lot of running lanes against a Texans defense that had been solid against the run. The Texans knew we were going to run and they still couldn't stop us.

They are pretty solid at run blocking. Wish that would carry over to pass blocking.

I don't think it's all on them when it comes to pass blocking. Fields holds the ball too long and he doesn't have any feel for the game.
