Anybody have any thoughts for a poor soul who knows absolutely nothing about the ponies. I'm going to be at an event at an OTB on Saturday and would like to lay down a few bets just to make the day interesting.

Hawthorne tends to be a speed favoring track. You need to be on or near the lead.

Have a show pool everyone pitch in a buck and one person picks a horse to show (finish 3rd) If he does than someone else picks another horse to show in the next race.If the horse runs out of the money everyone reantes and it goes on! Which OTB will you be at?????? I will look at Hawthornes card and give you a couple of winners! LOL

Sorry, I've got nothing for the weekend. Whoever is having the event chose a really crappy week to head out; everything is pretty much on hold for another couple of weekends until the Breeders Cup.
