It’s a catch 22 in that it is hard to properly evaluate Fields with poor talent around him. But if one year deals get you no where. Only a show me player takes a one year deal. Real talent wants a big signing bonus and multiple years.

It's a paradox. The Bears need talent around Fields to properly evaluate him, but they're rebuilding so they have none.

You can evaluate a quarterback without having a lot of talent. Fields has been bad. He was slightly better today.

You have to feel good about the Bears at least attempting a down-field pass in the 1st quarter and Fields' completing it for 52 yards.

We never saw that type of play with Nagy.
