You don't expect the GOAT to get more out of ordinary receivers than he did yesterday?

I misspoke. He was down his top 3 WR with the 4th hobbled. They pulled Beasley off the street to start. GOAT has made Perryman look like a good WR the last two

Beasley is a perfectly fine possession receiver.

He was on the street when the week began

I think that had more to do with him being outspoken about the vaccine.

Sure, but I still can't expect Brady to get him up to top form in 3 days.

They are in trouble but not because of the vaccines. They've got a Jordan Love problem - wasted pick.

Could be worse. They could have a Justin Fields problem

True. The offense could use a #1 receiver. A motivated Rodgers wouldn't hurt.

If fields ends up staying a problem you can simply move on. However the Pack can never go back to 2020 when they had a chance to give Rodgers more help, help that could have propelled them to greater heights the last two years, and instead of investing in help they invested in someone whose job it is to sit on a bench. Dumbest thing I've ever seen.

Lazard 6 for 116 wasn't bad today.

You know what was bad? Pre 2022 the Pack would have bombed NE out of the building. Instead the watered down offense barely beat Bryan Hoyer and whoever came in after Hoyer. I think it was Hoyer's son.

Are you really still fixated on a draft pick from 2020? That’s all you’ve got? Remember what your beloved Ditka said about the past.

We'll remember this when the decade plus old singular Super Bowl appearance of Aaron Rodgers is referenced.

Rodgers is already complaining about the offense. He says this isn't sustainable. I wonder what players the Packers could have signed that would instantly make the offense better.

Ditka? He's a putz. I'm a Love Smith guy.

The past looms large when looking at the state of the Packers. How great it would have been to see Michael Pittman running those routes instead of butterfinger Watson or confused Doubs. Just a tragic mistake that sealed the curtain on Rodgers' chances for more rings. Enjoy the 11-6 season and your usual early exit from the playoffs.

He needs to play like he did in the 2nd half, he was absolutely awful in the 1st half.

I don't understand this obsession with the Love pick. The 1st rd picks in the last 7 drafts have produced 6 current starting players on the defense. How many other teams have hit that many times on 1st round picks? The Raiders have pissed away 3 first round picks in the last few years. Love also did not look that bad in the pre season. He ran the offense, went through his progressions and made some pretty nice throws. Getsy would take him over Fields in a heartbeat right now.

...and for those that aren't buying in on Doubs....look at Adams' stats his first few years. Doubs is way ahead of him as a rookie. Everyone wants to compare rookie Doubs to seasoned veteran Adams but anyone that paid attention to Adams early in his career knows that he struggled mightily early on, dropped a ton of passes and was hated by the fanbase. Doubs has plenty to work on, especially holding on to the damn ball after he catches it, but he is going to be good.

Watson was always going to be a project but he can absolutely fly as seen with his td yesterday.

Rodgers is going to retire after next year. There's no one to help those guys continue to develop. Enjoy the final months of an underachieving 30 year run with HoF quarterbacks.

So you support the Adams divorce because now you're relying on a guy who is not better than 2022 Adams but is marginally better than 2017 Adams. And this is good how?

You speak as if there was a way for Adams to return to the Packers. He had made a decision to move on before last year even kicked off. Even if he wanted to come back it would have been really difficult to do financially. The ran that team out there how many years in a row and came up short every time with a healthy all pro Adams. They have mixed up the formula, spread the money around to the defense and are working on developing some new weapons on offense. They will be fine. They always are.

 There you go again. You're criticizing him and Rodgers for "not running the offense," as if having Adams around was actually a bad thing for both Rodgers and the entire team. By intimating Adams was the root cause of the Packers' inability to make it back to the SB while simultaneously whitewashing the piss poor talent at WR (developing weapons  ) you're continuing to prove you have no idea what you're talking about. Also, I'm not sure what you mean by "fine," they are quite obviously a lesser team post-Adams that barely survived something called Bailey Zappe while at home.

Spread the money around? They just gave Rodgers a golden parachute. His 2nd HUGE payday in the last 5 years.

Since 2016 the Packers have added 6 starters and 2 backups to their lineup with 1st round picks. In that same time the Bears have added 2 starters in Fields and Roquan, and zero backups. Good luck with that.

Imagine if one of them was a TE or WR? The Packers may have another SB or SB appearance.

Yep.

Also, zippy, your draft track record has resulted in the same exact number of NFC championship game wins as the bears enjoyed during that same stretchn of time. If only y'all used that 2020 1st round pick more thoughtfully. I forgot that y'all traded up for love as well. That makes it worse!
