Don't stop now, boys! Keep on fighting!

Who's your pick to click against the Twins tonight, Thomas?

When the Good Lord built this team, He forgot to put in the quit!

Eloy is my PtC tonight.

Sox just knocked out the Twinkies starter...

It would be appropriate for them to lose today to finish with the same winning percentage they have had at every signpost of the season.

but, new ace Davis Martin is pitching, brining new hope to the team

"Elite" Aaron Bummer allows a hit to the first batter he faces yet again. Same bullshit all year from this guy. I would look to move him in the offseason. He is still under contract and somebody will give something up for Bummer.

Just the perfect ending to this season. Getting blown out and shut down by some nobody pitchers to finish .500. We just need someone to pull a hamstring. #whitesoxbaseball

How does a save happen in a game where it was 10-0?

Isn’t three innings a save?

Edit:

A relief pitcher recording a save must preserve his team's lead while doing one of the following:

Enter the game with a lead of no more than three runs and pitch at least one inning.
Enter the game with the tying run in the on-deck circle, at the plate or on the bases.
Pitch at least three innings.

3 innings is a save no matter the score.

Hard to believe the Twins, in 1st place most of the year, finish 6 games under and in 3rd place.

Imagine that....a team that played .500 baseball for over a season finished.....81-81.

Final numbers for Bummer this season against the first hitter he faces;

32 PA
11 H
3 BB 1 HBP
.407 avg
.469 OB%
1.061 OPS

Now sure, some of that is him coming into a jam with runner(s) on base, but even when he started an inning he was bad allowing a .455 OB% and a 1.066 OPS.

Fucking brutal. That's about as far from elite as you can get. He's owed $11mil over the next two years, then there are options or buyouts. Trade him. Some pitching coach somewhere will fall in love with him because of his "stuff" but in reality he is a guy you can not rely on to get you out of a tough situation. And he's been hurt the last two seasons. He's not some victim of the 3 batter rule because as shown above he cannot get the first guy he faces out. He's a bum and might be bigger problem in the bullpen than Kelly is.

Moncada might be right up there with my least favorite White Sox player of all time. If I never see his bright yellow adornments while at bat it will be way too soon. To me, a pathetic hitter like he is should not try to draw attention to himself. I can see a father taking his young son to a Sox game and his son ask, "hey Dad, who is that guy in the one deck circle with the pretty yellow shoes and socks and batting gloves on"? "He must be really good, right?" Dad says, "No son, that Yoan Moncada, he's the worst hitter in the line-up".

The "look at me" uniform adornments kinda bother me too. Of course they wouldn't though if he produced.
