Educators, so brave, so woke.

if only they could be as brave as you

Bob is quite brave, he stood up against forced vaccinations by declining to be immunized...sorry, that wasn't Bob.

Husbands do stuff they don't want to do. I'm sorry the monoclonal didn't work for you.

You are sorry you gave in after holding out for so long.

Let it go. It's time to move on now.

Decision was all mine. No excuses, no regrets. But I am sorry you got bullied into monoclonal. Bravery Card cancelled, some would say. I wouldn't. Got to keep peace in the house.

Comparing antibodies to an unknown vaccination isn't letting it go Nardi. Nor are they even remotely similar scientifically.
And you were sooo close.

I hope you are Ok and stay healthy.

So it's a matter of degrees of bravery. If Bob keeping the peace was 100% cowardice, what was yours for your $1K treatment and an afternoon off to boost your immune system? That's a lot effort for a brave guy, isn't it?

That effort, it's safe to say, wasn't for you. It was for someone else. THIS is the concept I'm trying to shout up to you.

This thread was supposed to be happy, so let me tell a story that may make you chuckle for a second.

I worked at a place that had all sorts of nepotism by way of hiring friends and relatives and also people marrying others in the office. Like many office environments, the lunch room was often messy. People would leave half eaten treats on the tables or leftovers in the fridge for weeks on end. Dishes in the sink. Crumbs on the floor.

In any case, one day a printed sign popped up in the lunch room that said, “Clean up after yourself. Your mother does not work here.” The next day, in blue ink, someone wrote in, “yes she does.”

The only thing I chuckled at was "half eaten treats".

That same office had a systems department, and it was understaffed. To try to catch up on project work, they started bringing in contract employees. In general, these were non native speakers, folks fresh off the boat so to speak.

The men’s bathroom was a place you tried to avoid. But an avid coffee drinker like me had to empty the bladder. I started noticing a pattern of a closed first stall but no feet underneath. I just assumed it had a door that was stuck closed.

Others noticed too. Eventually we figured out what was going on. A Japanese contract employee was standing on top of the seat and crouching down to use the toilet. Man in stall; no feet on the ground. We named him “Crouching tiger; hidden crapper.”

There was a tradition of bringing in treats for the office on your birthday. There was a list of birthdays on the intranet so everyone knew who was due to bring in something. A lady we will call Maggie brought in a whole bunch of full wrapped honey buns.

We had a guy in the office we will call Tony. He was a human vacuum cleaner even with his small frame.

We saw him take one of the honey buns. Then he went back for another. You could tell because you heard each time he opened the wrapper. So we started putting another one on his desk every time he got up and walked away. Sure enough, he would open the wrapper and eat another. I think we fed him eight even after he eaten several on his own.

So creating a diabetic is somewhat humorous I guess.

Hahaha, never looked at it that way. I bought him a Costco sized bag of gummy bears for his birthday.

Every time we heard the wrapper open it was funny.
