Lamar Jackson is already 6th all time for yards rushed as a QB. He's virtually guaranteed to grab the 5th spot this year (S Young) and has a shot at 4 (Wilson).

He wasn't going to start this season but Tim Patrick went down. He might try and force a trade he's not happy. He and Hamler have been showing up Wilson big time when he doesn't go their way.

I can see a third round pick, I still have visions of Alabama Jeudy.

Chad Brown does a radio show in Denver. He was talking about that clip. He said when you have two malcontents on the team they always find each other on the sideline. Melvin Gordon knows he's out of there. Denver is on fire right now...talking about firing and trading everyone.

They had a beast in J Williams at RB but insisted on forcing washed up Melvin Gordon on the field. Once they realized Russ sucks they could have transitioned to a Williams-led attack with Russ sprinkled in based on what he's still capable of. It would have resembled somewhat the Lynch - Wilson years in Seattle at least on offense.

Agree - I mean right now that puts the 49ers in 2nd or 3rd best position in the conference.

Rams are bad. Bucs look lost. Packers are crap. Right now the Giants might be the 2nd best team or even the Vikings. You gotta go for it if you are them.

I think this move makes sense for the 49ers. The only thing that can really go wrong for them is the threat of injury over the remaining years of the contract. Losing all those picks in next years draft isn't great BUT adding this piece could push them over. This is one of the situations where drafting draft picks makes sense. Bad teams trading picks in desperation is bad but in this case I think its a good move for the Niners.

Yeah, Philly appears to be the best of NFC. I don't see SF beating them.

When healthy, I'm not sure how much better CMC is than a backfield combination of Mitchell and Deebo. The 49ers weren't a running back away from winning a Super Bowl. The Lance trade and this trade should get a lot of people fired.

I understand this argument against it. Its why I am generally against trading picks. For some reason this seems like (if he remains healthy) this could work out. It won't take too long to find out. its risky for sure, but the conference is there for the taking.

These guys are crazy. Invested a third round pick on 2021 on Sermon. Cut Sermon. Invested a third round pick in Tyrion Davis Price this year. Now five more picks or whatever on CMC. That's nearly ten picks to get RB right in two years. Someone doesn't know what they're doing.

Elijah Mitchell was/is good. Their biggest blunder was trading 3 first round picks for Trey Lance. Easily the worst quarterback in a potentially terrible class.

The irony is they benefited the most during the horrible (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky trade and now they probably committed their own (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky thing by overdrafting and overpaying for Lance.

Potential off the charts. But seems to be one of those guys that something is always wrong with. hard to argue with anything KC has done offensively over last few years so they clearly see something they really like

Yeah, very interesting that a team would use 1st round draft capital and then get rid of him a little over a year later.

That happens but you still don't see them dumping the previous years 1st round pick that fast.
