Really

Yes, the Bears failed in the red zone. Part of that is playcalling and part of it is lack of execution.

Like the lack of executing a basic pass TD pass as Bob mentions, and throwing another pass that hits a Washington defender-- who was standing flat footed-- smack dab in the helmet then bounds up into the air and gets picked off.

This analysis is saying that the offensive line is responsible for 73.6% of the pressures Fields has faced, whereas Fields is responsible for only 22.2% of the pressures.

I'm looking for an explanation of the analysis but haven't found it yet.

In any event, I'm not sure an explanation will be helpful because it should be obvious that Fields isn't good enough, the offensive line isn't good enough, and the receivers aren't good enough.

The clear conclusion is that Fields is better than Patrick Mahomes. Stats!

This is like when Deshone Kizer said he had Tom Brady’s brain in Cam Newton’s body, only it’s the media acting like Fields is a combo of Mahomes and Josh Allen.

Guy sucks.

We have a brain dead idiot here using that same logic that Eli must be better than Brady because he beat him twice in the Super Bowl believe it or not.

Wow. I can't believe they actually pinned 22% of the pressures as being his fault. While they were trying to make it look like he has had the worst protection in the history of the league, the real story is that someone in the media actually placed any amount on him.

Fields isn't on that list for 2021. So, the Bears Oline was a lot better last year? I don't think I've seen anyone discuss that.

I've seen nothing better than the time before pressure and sack numbers posted by Hussra.

I'm frankly surprised that Fields wasn't too sore to work out yesterday after some of the big hits he took Monday night. Good for him.

That time Cutler was sacked 9 times in the first half abd set an NFL record maybe in jeopardy this week. Between bad blocking and him holding onto the ball too long, good chance he doesn't finish this game.

That's not alot of weight, just looks like 4-45's plus the sled, a strong girl could push/pull that. Looks like basic stretching/light lifting after a game.

You must consort with a lot of muscular females. I'm sure they're all very "handsome".

If you ever seen a girl that regularly hits the weight section at a gym, and not even one crazy muscular, but a gym regular, that weight would be a breeze to her.

I'm guessing Fields has a 1RM bench of well over 300, so pulling 225ish on a sled is incredibly light to him. Just basic calisthenics but good on him for keeping himself in shape not taking that away from him...just pointing out for those that are floored he could possibly be lifting the day after a game.

Im sure no other quarterbacks do that. Or maybe they do and dont have themselves filmed and uploaded to social media doing it. If he really wants to impress, someone should film him on the treadmill in the off season. Now THAT is next level dedication to the craft.

The good QBs post videos of themselves beheading puppies the day after a game.

So was this kind of sort of another decent-ish game? Another Lamar type performance with a few good throws plus the running. I'd credit the larger rushing attack overall - not just Fields - but he seemed to complement it with passing and throwing. Earlier in the season you had to stop the run. Now you have to stop Fields running plus the run and in the middle Fields is throwing some darts to move the chains. I don't think this is "omg we finally have a franchise QB" but he seems to be showing game to game progress for the first time in his career.

The only positives today

Fields
Herbert
Montgomery (sans the fumble)
Eddie Jackson

All players Poles inherited. Despite the bullshit narratives, they ain't building shit. Fields is excelling in spite of this front office
