Man can you imagine what it is like for the Nola family right now? Brothers going against each other. One is going to be on top of the world and one is going to be in the depth of despair. Pretty cool stuff.

I really can't stand either AL team, but it's an interesting game so far.

I know we are supposed to hate the cheating Astros, but I'm over it. That team is really really good. All I see is a 1981 Nolan Ryan jersey and I can't help but want them to beat the Yankees.

Throw in JR Richard and Jose Cruz jerseys and I'm in. I loved that team.

And as soon as San Diego got the back to back bombs I wondered if the Phillies were done

McDonald's uniforms don't measure up to the 70s throwbacks of Philadelphia (Flyers too)

I'm not going to disagree with you on this. Eddie Murray told us to burn those uniforms on an October Friday night in 83.

83.

I'm OK with Sunday throwbacks, but those 83s unis are long overdue to be retired. Wear 1959 throwbacks on Sunday.

THIS.
It was fine at first, but they really wore out the novelty of those uniforms. A rotation of throwbacks for sundays would be welcomed.

There are rumblings of Dusty should be in the Hall of Fame now going for his first WS title in 12 postseasons as a manager and a career OPS of .779 as a player.

He'll get in. Where he ranks amongst the all time greats will change if he gets a ring.

These 2 ALCS games have been phenomenal. Dusty didn't have to use Pressly for 4 outs tonight. I don't know if Dusty is handling the pitching staff or if someone is doing it for him, but he's certainly not fucking it up.

Yes....that would have been a HR at Yankee stadium. They'll get their games for cheap home runs yet. Then again....Houston isn't very spacious either.

True. Of course, he's had a lot of Bernsteinian bites at the apple...

@BigW: Agree with all that. So far, Dusty has been making the right pitching moves...

Judge has been worth it. Not so sure about Stanton.

The scheduling this postseason has been a little suspect for me. I get some division games have to be played in the afternoon but championship games are a different story. Game 1 of the NLCS was the 2nd game played on Tuesday. It should not have started at 4:30pm locally. The east coast can wait another hour until 8:30pm to make that game start at 5:30pm on the west coast. It's garbage Game 2 of a championship series had to start at 1:30pm on a weekday in San Diego Wednesday. I know the Yankees-Astros had to play after, but schedule it on a different day and alternate the games. Do something and figure it out. This has been a great post season. I thought baseball was trying to get viewership numbers up. Game 3 starts at 4:30pm today. The east coast can wait 1 more hour. It's a Friday night.

I heard today that the 5 games in a row in the championship series is an artifact of the lockout (most likely to hit the right WS schedule dates that Fox is paying for). That would explain why they aren't alternating weeknight games between the two leagues.

San Diego has never won it, so I entered this series with the intention of rooting for them, but I seem to be organically supporting Philadelphia. There's something about coming out of the 6th seed and knocking off two division winners that's appealing.
