Let the kids play and use the cap savings next year.

Is there a better class of free agents next year than there was this year?

It's solid defensively. Schultz and Meyers are probably the best TE and WR on the market. Both may get tagged or resign. Orlando Brown could be available. They'll probably have to trade for established talent or sign guys to prove it deals.

In addition to Orlando Brown, Elgton Jenkins is also a FA, don't know if Green Bay can afford him with Karen's salary.

I don't think they will let Jenkins go anywhere.

The Packers are sitting on a little over 3 million in cap space for next year so best of luck with that

Here we go again with the cap. There will inevitably be some departures (Amos and/or Preston Smith are likely gone) but Jenkins will be back. Your guy Rashan Gary will be up for an extension as well.

Packers offensive linemen get hurt after getting paid. I would avoid their Packer stink and injuries.

Amos nets you 5 million in cap savings. It's cute how you guys pretend the cap isn't real, like last year, and then poof! Devante Adams was gone.

They had the cap space to sign Devante, he chose to go to the Raiders. The Packers actually offered him more money if I remember that correctly.

Because Rodgers likely told him he was only going to be around for 2 years. IIRC, Rodgers said he had an honest conversation with him about how long he had planned on playing.

Again if the salary cap was fake, like Zippy continues to proclaim, Za'Darius Smith would still be a Packer.

I don't think so, something happened between the Packers and him and it was over.

His cap number was going to be 26 million, that's what happened.

They could have fixed that, it was something that he claimed he was injured and they didn't quite see it that way and thought he was sitting out for a new contract. They were ready to play Gary and the other Smith was cheaper.

Fixing it..moving numbers around, deferring bonuses etc only works for a little while. The Bears did the same thing with Mack and then last year his salary was absurd.

It is why drafting players like Gary is so important, get the best out of them and let someone else pay. Rodgers is the only contract that will affect them long term and yes that can definitely be an issue potentially.

 Why are we debating with Packer fans. It's like trying to explain to them that a "Rally for Love" is not a family reunion.

the entire packer house of cards falls without a HOF QB.

Some of you are too young to remember the Forrest Gregg days

Yeah, I'm not sure Herbert is a 25+ touches a game guy. I think 20 is his limit to be consistently effective. Ebner can get you 5 to 6.
