Poles is moving and shaking after early fiascos with Nick Foles and others. What a great couple of months he has had.

Sign Schultz in the offseason, and we have major ingredients for a great offseason.

Poles said he had no interest in tagging Roquan. He also essentially said he decided to trade Roquan before the start of the season.

I'm liking what I'm seeing, this cap room and extra picks looks to be the start of something nice. He's the anti Pace.

I think this negotiation became personal, which is exacerbated by a player representing himself.

I think we could have had BOTH Chase Claypool and Roquan on this team under different conditions.

I think he definitely wanted to sign him, but they could not get close on agreeing on what that deal should be worth. Poles was not going to overextend for a LB in their system. So he had to move on. Things may have got personal too, but I think the major reason is they could not get close on money. Roquan sees himself as one who should be a top paid LB in the game, and Poles correctly disagrees.

The fact that Poles seems to actually value draft picks makes him the anti-Pace.
So far, Poles is showing more positive than negative. I'm looking forward to the next offseason.

The Bears passed on Claypool to draft Kmet.

The Pack passed on Claypool to draft Jordan Love ( )

Both chased him yesterday.

Roquan still has a chance to make this happen. Play your ass off in Baltimore, get tagged, play your ass off again and either the Ravens or somebody else will give him a large deal then.

I think the Bears offered him a large deal.

He has some need to be the highest paid.

I agree. Eddie is having what would be an all-pro season if his performance was for a team with a better record. They do need to give him a good contract.

Jones is playing himself into being cut. He's cost them with a loss already and has been lousy over-all.

He has shown when called on as a gadget play type.

Need a guy like that in outside zone, give it to him once or twice a game in order to hold the LB's for a split second and maybe open up a lane and to stretch the D, it would help if he could actually catch a football, but they likely keep drafting guys like him until they find a guy that can.

Make him one of the options for Fields in the option offensive scheme. Jones should be able to catch a quick screen or slant from Fields and defenders would have to honor his speed, which should open things up for Fields if they hesitate.

Schultz would work nicely. Big target and good hands. Decent speed.

Pittsburg used Claypool some in that kind of play. He can also throw out of that call.
