yes I actually do. my 5 yr old daughter is obsessed with city busses. we don't know why. but a friend who works at the city got us a tour of the bus facility. the guy gave us a year long bus pass. we used it 1 time she thought it was amazing. but I'm certain we are good with bus trips from now on.

Twitter's power users -- dril, Gawker writers, various other journalists -- either came of age posting on or ripped off people who came of age posting on Something Awful, a message board where in order to participate, you had to pay $10.

do people make money off ad revenue from twitter? he said they cant sustain off ads alone, but youtube and such does by taking a percentage. theres no reason twitter cant do the same. i think it more comes down to investors demanding a monthly cash influx, which hes now obligated to.

Hopefully he'll Lowtax himself before Twitter spins off it's own chan boards. So far the Parler and Truth Social ones aren't noteworthy. Elon should steal SA's model where you can change someone else's avatar and redtext them for 10bux but they can change it back for 5.

Lowtax turned out to be a really crappy person. I spent a lot of time there in the late 90's.

One of the funnier aspects of this has been the left now running around trying to find alternatives to Twitter instead of paying $8 or acting like a normal person who doesn’t care who owns Twitter.

Today I learned about something called Mastodon. It’s apparently left wing Gab.

Yeah Julie promoted Mastadon a few years back to “escape this hellsite ” and lasted all about a week over there before coming back to Twitter where she’s constantly harassed just for being a woman in sports.
