Looks like we're back to "this person is not allowed to make a living because of his thoughts".

Why can't people see how counterproductive this is? He's now bestowed Victim Status.

His thoughts are bad, everyone knows his thoughts are bad, no one respects his thoughts. He is mocked universally. Why isn't that good enough? Calling him World B Flat is funny and appropriate. Firing him isn't.

How is it counterproductive? Was he not considered a victim in some circles be he was suspended?

MANY here and elsewhere supported his comments. I wouldn't be surprised if violence follows. He won't be "fired", but you and I would have been. He'll still be allowed to take time off for various reasons and collect a check. I wouldn't be shocked if he took more time off to work on his mental health after his suspension.

I disagree. By all accounts he is being suspended not because he expressed Antisemitic thoughts, but because he "failed" to denounce the AntiSemitic thoughts of others. That is a dangerous precedent.

What do you disagree with?

To your point, Kyrie endorsed those thoughts by sharing them. It isn't unreasonable to ask for a bullshit apology to placate fans and partners.

He didn't repost the thoughts. He reposted the link to the movie. And if I were to use this place as an example, I've been told hundreds of times that the failure to denounce bigots and bigotry signifies nothing. Now it does and I have to ask why? He might very well agree with the basic tenets of what the people who created the movie happen to be espousing, but there is no way to know from his posting of the link.
And he isn't being suspended for reposting the link. He is being suspended for failing to denounce what is contained in the movie. That's wrong.

Kyrie is kind of dumb though. All he had to do to escape this was put in his profile that retweets and likes are not endorsements.

He shouldn't have to "escape" anything. He should not be made to explain the "thoughts" of Anti -Semites anymore than you should.

Kyrie seems to think Kyrie did something wrong as he’s apologized on behalf of Kyrie.

He can think whatever he wants to think and so can you. And so can I. I'm not going to discuss what his "motivations" nor "speculate" as to why he might be apologizing. WHat I will do is speak for myself and say that he shouldn't have to apologize or denounce anything because he didn't say anything that was even remotely Anti Semitic.

A movie or book comes out heavily critical of black America and Luka Doncic " likes" the tweet of whatever publisher or movie company produces it .Youre seriously going to argue he shouldnt have to explain himself , that its not an endorsement of the project or he wouldnt be suspended immrediately ?

When Trump reposts the thoughts of known bigots, when have you or any of the other "arch conservatives" around here ever claimed that those words spoke for him? When he claimed that Charlottesville (Where bigots literally claimed that they wanted to exterminate Jews) had "good people on both sides" did you "see" that as an endorsement of their views? "WE" both know that you did not don't "WE"?

And by the way Luka would not have to explain himself either.

I’m not speculating. Kyrie apologized. An apology is an acknowledgment of wrongdoing.

Kyrie thinks Kyrie did something wrong whether or not anybody else thinks Kyrie did something wrong.

I don't care what he "thinks" and you really don't know what he "thinks" either. I'm saying what I think. He should never have "been made" to apologize for the words and views of someone else.

Now why would a book on the "Jewish Race" be #1 on a best sellers list for "religion and spirituality" I wonder? Something seems "amiss" about that doesn't it?

By posting a link to it? If only "WE" were this inferential when it comes to "other" matters then "WE" might have just a tad bit more credibility on the issue.

Kyrie, you should probably stop with the red herring stuff in this thread.

Kyrie isn't even trying to defend himself as much as ltg is. Kyrie will just move on to the the next credibility destroying topic soon enough.
