Crazy thing I just read. His first recruiting class at Auburn was rated 22nd in the country by rivals.....but was only 8th in the SEC.

Looking forward to the Tennessee vs UGA matchup this weekend. Wish it wasn't the same time as the Illini vs Michigan St. Bama vs LSU and Clemson vs ND could be interesting as well.

Auburn has never seemingly recruited well in comparison to the SEC powers. They'll always get 2-3 top recruits and then a bunch of 3-4 star kids.

I expect Illini/MSU to be messy. I think Illinois is going to walk over them. MSU is a mess right now and I'm sure some boosters are thinking how they could get out of the Mel Tucker contract.

But those are a good slew of games. Bama LSU might be more important. I don't think LSU can compete with them this year (even though this might not be the best Bama team) but it's a springboard for what Kelly is trying to do. Win and you win the West and have a shot at the playoff. Lose and it's the Outback bowl.

Auburn is the fourth best school for all in the state. There is Alabama, Georgia, LSU, then Auburn.

Locking in on TN vs GA. I root for the Dawgs but love that the VOLS matter again. Hope it’s a good one

That Tennessee defense is a sieve. They would have been better off taking the safety

A 75 yard punt inside of the one says it isn't Tennessee's day. Yet.

They're also on probation a lot. Coaches seem to flame out there. They were as good as or better than Alabama for about 15 years there, but the coaches all flame out. And then Saban came.

One guy pushed a guy and then a few guys stared at one another before going into their respective tunnels.

Coulda been a great brou-ha-ha, but cooler heads prevailed.

Shame.

So far, Clemson is who we thought they were.

Hawg did I see the score right? Arkansas lost to Liberty?!? Wtf?

And the Tigers are giving St. Nick all kinds of angina. One of these years I'm getting to Death Valley for a big night game.

I thought the Liberty coach was Hawg's guy. He has to get another shot at the big time with what he has done there. It was great to see some L's in the top of the polls but once things expand all of that means nothing and those teams are all back in. Maybe it will spread the talent though if players don't think they have to overload one school like Bama or GA and can get in the playoff with a much larger group of schools. WTF is wrong with My U and Cristobal. They have been completely awful and that should not be acceptable considering the transfer portal and the pile of money they have been throwing at players.

I just noticed that the "NYD" games are on Jan 2 this year. Does everyone even have that day off? I would think most companies are giving the holiday on the Friday before.

Purdue is a big state school with some great programs but it always seem like such a hick place, even compared to a place like Iowa.
