For those of you who wanted to know what the movie was, it was She Said, which is Hollywood congratulating itself for letting journalists report on an open secret that they were ready to suppress whenever necessary until they decided not to anymore. Can't imagine why no one wants to see this feel-good movie of the year on a holiday weekend, but this really proves my point about her priorities: she's so loyal to prestige journalism over her family that she'll see a movie about them but not her actual dad.

I can't imagine not seeing a dying parent or not wanting/getting to see my kids and their kids. And then thinking you did good.

All it is, is she got caught again in a discombobulated lie. Are we to believe she won't see her father on thanksgiving( she sees him regularly supposedly) because she might kill him with COVID? I don't believe it. She got it in her head that this was an opportunity to sermonize on how COVID could have been nipped in the bud if it wasn't for selfish people.

This is the entire problem with the COVID response. There are doctors out there- the ones who actually paid attention in medical school and also had no desire to push a political agenda- who knew it was impossible to stop or even contain an airborne respiratory virus. They needed to have the loudest voices but they were censored and sidelined. So we destroyed every other facet of life and caused many unnecessary deaths while not preventing a single death from COVID. And no one is being made to pay and many continue to insist we did the right thing or even that we didn't do enough.

The day my Dad died I sat next to his bed in the facility and we watched the Notre Dame football game. He died that night. And we knew it was close and it was one of the best memories I have.

I can't imagine not seeing a parent if they are close and you know they are close.

My grandfather wanted me to sit with him and watch the Alabama game. He was occasionally spitting blood and went to the hospital right after the game and passed away two days later with maybe six of us sitting around him.
