It's kind of like looking at Slayer's catalog. "Reign In Blood" is what defines Slayer. In terms of refining and perfecting their sound, "Seasons In the Abyss" is their best work, but Reign In Blood is where Slayer made the mark on the world.

my friend and i were having this discussion and for me "hell awaits" is the one i spin the most. "seasons" is also great, probably my second favorite. "reign" is definitely the most popular and probably the crown jewel.

Hell Awaits is awesome, but it's recording quality / engineering was still very "indie" and I think song-wise they overcomplicated themselves. Reign In Blood saw things get much more simplified.

Thank you for humoring me on the Slayer digression

There were 3 major announcements last month which was the biggest? Jackman appearing in Deadpool 3, Cavill returning as Superman, or Neil Breen announcing his new film is complete?

Man, can he top "Twisted Pair"? the other two don't even begin to register on my radar. i'm still upset john carl beuchler died because i really wanted to see him complete his "troll" re-boot/remake.

I would be happy if he could match Twisted Pair but there's no way he will ever top Fateful Findings. That was his magnum opus.

Speaking of Jackie Brown -- one of my all-time favs -- I only recently realized that Michael Keaton's partner played neo-Nazi Jack Welker in Breaking Bad.

Is that real? I am not criticizing her at all, but my Lord . . . that looks like an entirely different person.

that's exactly what i said...this can't be her. even the facial structure looks completely different. i can't see any resemblance.

i mean, kelly mcgillis looks old and festively plump. but you can still tell it's her face.

I had done the same thing and couldn't believe it.....I did some digging and honestly I think it's real.

W_Z,

Can the USMNT beat them damn Iranians?

Also, I see that Mexico is playing Poland tomorrow. What's the hottest actress or writer from each of these proud nations?

Another great RiffTrax is The Guy From Harlem. Top notch. There are actually quite a few entertaining RiffTrax available through streaming. Ice Cream Man, Miami Connection, Death Promise, Future Force.

prime Selma Hayak is as beautiful as any woman in the history of the world. Even now, with age and billions, she is still keeping it together.

Yvonne Strahovski is a hot blonde. Maybe not the hottest. If you want to include americans with polish-jewish ancestry, its basically half of hollywood. I always have. Some old people on both sides when I was growing up were a little more hostile to the idea.

And if you’ve actually read the book you could easily argue that it is as much a Cormac film as a Coen brothers film given how little changes were made and how much was directly lifted from the novel, including dialogue.

I do think when it comes to discussing directors like QT -who are known for writing their own stories completely- it’s fair to make a distinction. No need to take offense.

Yeah I’m sorry about that, was a bit salty from a long day. I know what you’re saying and “No Country” along with “Fargo” are my two favorite Coen bros films.

All good.

As far as favorite Coen films.. where do I even begin.. ‘Miller’s Crossing’, ‘The Big Lebowski’, ‘O Brother, Where Art Thou’.. so many classic characters, dialogue and stories that it would be hard for me to pick one or even two. ‘Fargo’ and ‘No Country’ are obviously fantastic films as well. Anton, for me, is one of the greatest on screen villains of all time.

Even their first film is a classic. Just a great catalog all around.

I want to buy a Krampus figurine for the holidays. One with a child in the bag. My wife is appalled but I told her it’s part of my heritage and beliefs. What do I do?
