Ditto. How the hell did I forget Creed. Although I have to clarify here. Scott Stapp is the reason Creed sucks. Alterbridge (Creed with a real singer) is quite good.

You're right, their music is easy to ignore. However, the more annoying segment of their fanbase(s), is not, and the result of that is hatred for the band itself, as well as the fans.

music is going to inspire a lot of aggressive responses...i think with me, it's not so much the music or the bands, but the marketing that really bothers me most. while i do say i hate such and such band, or such and such genre...it's not really that i hate them personally or even generally--i specifically hate how they're marketed by the industry.

the "faux punk band" epidemic...i mean, simple plan, all that bullshit, those are just kids playing music they love...we say it sucks, or hate it, but if it weren't for the dildo execs that think that they can cash in on this garbage, we'd never know who the hell simple plan is, or whatever.

with phish and the dead, it's definitely the fan base. and really, i have some friends that i've tried to convince to like ween--and they can't get over how much they hate ween's fan base...so i gave up. i actually like some songs i've heard from phish and the grateful dead. but i don't consider myself a fan...i, too, am not a huge fan of the jam band.

the only time i hear the radio is when i'm at the gym, and really, the only station i can stomach is Q101 because it does cow tow to my kind of music--although there is a lot of shit played...and man do they love rage...i still don't mind it as much as having to hear the drive, or the loop...or jack fm.
