So Ohio State is back in and if Kansas State beats TCU tomorrow, Alabama is as well.

Ugh.

Utah's outscored them 37-7 after being down 17-3

When the playoff field expands in a couple years, all the drama of last weekend and this weekend completely evaporates.

Why? Because by that time, Bret Bielema will have built a powerhaus in Champaign?

I wish. Instead of every highly ranked team loss having dire consequences (team tossed out of the playoff), every loss will just effect seeding.

There's a consequence for success right now though. Ohio St and Alabama are in the catbird seat by sitting on their ass. And that ain't right either.

TCU is no way the 3rd best team in the country and they have no business in the playoffs

And if they lose, both Alabama and Ohio State are in. Ugh.

Wow, in my opinion he brought a ton of notoriety to them and specifically Jackson State. They could never have paid for all of the pub they have received.

Come on, Hawg! He was only around for 2 years. He put himself on the coaching map and may have helped his kid. HBCU's aren't remotely close to being on any football maps.

Totally disagree. Coming into this weekend, OSU was out and was completely reliant on help from someone else to get in. Michigan, on the other hand, was virtually guaranteed a spot by virtue of beating OSU. Therefore, even if they lose badly to Purdue, you're not moving a one loss TCU, a one loss OSU, a two loss Alabama , or any of the other two loss teams ahead of them. Coming into this weekend, OSU would have gladly traded places with Michigan.

As for USC, if they came into Championship weekend undefeated, they would be in the same position as Michigan. As for TCU, play a tougher schedule and/or move to a tougher conference and you'll get more respect.

I still think TCU is going to win this game, leaving one spot open for:

- OSU: one loss, skullfucked at home, bad conference, no notable wins (maybe ND)
- Bama: two last second losses, very annoying, good conference

We'll agree to disagree Nas, but he definitely gave Jackson State a lot of visibility that otherwise they would have never had. Hell GameDay went there.

That's fine. I think that had more to do with his influence and celebrity. No one will care about the school next fall. IMO, it would take at least a generation to put HBCU's on the map. I don't fault Neon Deion for not wanting to invest that much time. However, I'm also not going to believe he was doing something virtuous by spending 2 years at one while he built his coaching brand.

Decently hard schedule this year, though, for TCU.

Pathetic, TCU. Well, they were due to lose a close one after squeaking by all year.
