like QB, I think we have to realize that it takes the overwhelming majority of TE time to develop. Patience is paying off.

He's inline for an extension. I was for going after Dalton Schultz, but maybe instead pool that money into making a full court press for Orlando Brown Jr for the Chiefs.

I would still do both. Then spend every dime you have on defense.

I'm not sure about the Chiefs cap situation, but they could tag Brown or extend him. That's the risk with waiting for free agents.

I think we saw yesterday why he will never be in that elite group of TE. I think he can be in that lower half of top 10 group, like Dawson Knox types. Getting caught from behind by a DL with a healthy lead on him was embarrassing.

The great thing is that he has gotten much better at getting separation. He has become a better hands catcher. Both have resulted in his catch % and YPC exploding.

i agree 100. let fields form this group of guys on offense. we saw progress all year. they should get better with more practice. defense needs help.
