When healthy, I think the Packers will be fine at wide receiver, I mean we don't have a Chase Claypool but I think we will be ok.

Nah. We would gladly take Higgins though. Can you guess why he's not on your team?

Because he plays for the Bengals?

Nope. Rodgers sure seems smarter than Gut:

Agreed. They are in much better shape at WR going into next year than I thought earlier this season. I hope they can keep Lazard though. I wasn’t a fan of him as a 1 but he’s a solid guy to have in the top 3. They really need to invest in a TE regardless.

They just won't have a quarterback who can throw the ball to the receivers. Father Time kicked Rodgers ass over the summer and Love probably sucks.

Well you’ve got a lot more experience watching QBs who suck so I’ll have to trust you on this one.

Wrong attitude, man. Got to hold people accountable. The Pack aren't going out the way they did in 2020 and 2021 with MVP Rodgers, Adams, Higgins/Pittman, Jones, etc. I expect you to march into Gut's offense today and fire him on the spot. Then you're allowed to look to the future.

Gute is not going anywhere and the early returns on lasts year draft class are looking promising.

So "promising draft class" in a failed 2022 campaign outweighs destroying the championship window in 2020-2021. Got it. You could have been SB winners only last year! No wonder losers like Gute stick around in GB - guys like Hawg appreciate the mediocrity.

You realize under your beloved Gute's leadership the Packers have gotten closer to the Bears than they have to the Chiefs/Bills/Eagles?

Don't worry, we'll be in the same tier soon enough. The Pack aren't exactly setting the bar high with their recent management missteps.

I thank YHWH for not giving the Packers Higgins to go with Elite Aaron Jones, Davante Adams, and Aaron Rodgers. The championships would have probably killed me.

I can see how it would be difficult for the pack to achieve that given that their GM is a grade a dumbass. Threw away possible SB births in 2020 and 2021 so he could stock the bench with a middling QB who may never become the full time starter for the team. That's next level strategizing there.

At best the airway is pointing sideways for the Pack talent and cap wise. The continued presence of Gut tilts that arrow downwards. The honest truth is you'd want to switch places with the Bears - caps, an intriguing prospect at QB who is actually picking up gameday experience, picks, and young talent in the defensive backfield

Go pack!

you really have a strange and sad obsession with Gut and the Love pick. You truly are the only one that is still carrying on about it. As for the last thought I can say unequivocally that I prefer the Packers situation going forward. Your intriguing QB has yet to show he can pass consistently and more importantly win a game when they need him to. Beyond that, cap space is nice when you have a few holes to fill. The Bears need to fill an entire roster, and Poles hasn’t really shown a knack for that to this point. Good luck with that.

Because you know deep down he single handedly closed the window shut when he botched the first round pick. He's responsible for your lack of accomplishments during Rodgers peak.

I don't like some of Poles moves so far but still it's unreasonable to say "he hasn't shown a knack" for filling out the roster when he hasn't even been employed for a year. Your preference for the Pack's situation seems like meatballism more than objectivity. Again, you have a win now roster that's at the mercy of a GM who doesn't comprehend that, hence his bizarre unwillingness to unload the only asset you probably have (Love) for personnel who could have helped in 2021 and 2022. So now your roster is a weird hodgepodge of win now guys and win tomorrow guys that result in what you see today: 7 and 8 with no chance at postseason success and no high draft pick to look forward to. Then again maybe that's a good thing given your incompetent GM.

The Packers aren't standard bearers. They're better than the Bears over the last 15 years or so but that's about it. They're less accomplished over the same period than teams like the Colts and Rams.

Colts haven't won a Super Bowl in 15 years and the Rams have won as many as Green Bay

Colts been to 2 and won 1, same with Rams. Packers been to 1 though with the way their fans operate you'd think the Pack are in the SB every other year. They have one. Simply not relevant.
