I know he sucked, particularly against the run, but the Chargers just cut former first round DL Jerry Tillery. He's probably better than anyone else on our D line, so worth a look, like Leatherwood.

They should acquire as many people as possible from the 2018 ND team.

Isn't Tillery that dirt bag that kicked that USC player on the ground?

I can't speak to that. In all my dealings with him he's been a very reasonable and sensitive guy, he's fun, you'll like him.

Is anyone impressed with Poles so far? He traded a second round pick for Claypool. 8 yard game!

Do like the fact that Jones and Harry were both healthy scratches, it shows they will move on quickly from guys that don't produce.

Rarely hear a HC call a guy out publicly like he did with Jones, and it looked like Harry ran the wrong route several times in the Miami game, so he gets a chance to sit and watch.

Reiff is playing at least solid football, Borom may not start again at tackle for this team, Leatherwood is a far superior prospect at RT and they likely take at least a look at him this year, and will of course upgrade the Oline significantly next year, in fact just competent play from the line is all they need with Fields, they are killing teams with the run with one of the worst offensive lines in the league, you upgrade 2-3 spots and you open up your deep play action game.

Feel the exact opposite. Brown and Pettis have had screw ups, yet we are foresaking development for the two of them.

I understand a quick decision, but Velus hasn't even had a real chance. He screwed up two punts. OK, take that off his plate for now. You drafted him in the third round as a do everything guy and he has shown a little in that role. Brown had 0 targets and Pettis had 1. They had 3 rushes. All three of those should have been Velus'.

Eberflus came out and exposed Jones for not knowing the plays, that along with consistently dropping the football will get even a guy with the speed he has a seat on the bench. Pettis is at least able to catch punts, so you need him on the roster.

I guess the deeper question is if next years WR1 is currently on the roster? Not a great FA class, and difficult for a rookie WR to come in right away and fill that role, so the answer is likely yes, but who is that guy, and do you have guys currently on the roster that can fill out your WR room when your ready to compete?

We all know this year is a developmental/assessment year, the WR at least has a few possibilities, but you have to quickly figure out what you have.

Let's get rid of our best player on defense in Roquan.

Great decision when you don't have any players on defense and that's why you're losing.

Totally asinine. Should have paid him.

Is Poles the guy you want rebuilding the team? No.

Ok this is the best I have felt about Poles leading this team.

Let's go!

I think Hoge's way of looking at it is dumb. One could say you're driven to acquire Claypool because Jones sucks. If Jones was a decent hit, are they trading a 2nd for Claypool? Probably not. You're often trading picks or spending money on players because the draft for that position didn't go so well.

Taco Charlton sounds like a place Good Dolphin might use to cater the office Christmas party.

Taco Nano is a family favorite for take out.

I'm not sure they deliver downtown.

I was downtown Monday morning for an 8:00 meeting.

It looked like a Saturday morning down there 10 or 15 years ago.

It sounds like a lot of excellent executives taught him lessons, but he wasn't actively involved in anything outside of rebuilding the Chiefs offensive line.

Not sure how I feel about Johnson. He gets praised even after the receiver he was covering gets 180+ yards…and I like my corners to maybe get at least one pick a year.

The Bears are the dumbest organization in the world.

After having a thirty-something GM that was a failure in Pace, the McCaskey's choose another thirty-something GM in Poles who is not qualified for the job and therefore, destined for failure. How stupid can you be?

I don't believe that you can only be a numbers guy and succeed in that position. You need to have experience and great intuition. I've seen nothing from Poles so far that gives me confidence, when he lets Roquan walk without having any other real playmakers on defense.

I never thought I would say this, but I miss Jerry Angelo compared to the last three clowns they've had as GM.
