AA Gold status flyer here!

I made the switch a couple of years ago.

I don't know what that is but is it as good as bypassing TSA with a greeter?

I got word at 7:58 pm Christmas Eve night that my flight from Milwaukee to Nashville was canceled, supposed to leave at 5:25 Christmas morning. I was able to get us on a flight out of Midway at 8:20 Christmas morning. After sitting on the plane for over an hour and a half waiting on another flight attendant, we finally took off.

It's not that special. In my experience, AA has been reliable. The miles and other perks don't hurt either.

I imagine flight attendants and pilots were the reason for most of the cancelations today.

I think that Southwest may have intentionally booked flights that never had intentions of flying, but they got their money. I also no that weather did not help but they looking a lot worse than other airlines.

You are full of shit as usual. It is not a long drive but not 6 hours. I have driven it plenty of times.

You're just cranky because with your delays factored in you could have drove there faster

Not really, my son had Christmas with his mom's side and didn't get home until 1 am Christmas morning. Know all of the facts before you spew your bullshit.

The only latitude I can give Parkins is his wife connection. If she and her family go back and forth to KC a lot it is pretty easy and frequent SW from MDW.

There is going to be a riot today at Midway Airport. At 4:00 AM this morning half of the flights on the board were listed as cancelled. The wait for customer service has to have been a solid 5+ hours all AM with no end in sight.

Brutal for travelers but has to be worse for employees. My sister spoke to a woman who waited 10 hours to get to Savannah yesterday, she went home to sleep four hours and was back in that five hour line today.

My brother flew in to our destination today and said there were only 30 people on his flight. This is insane because we have four other people in our party trying to get here.

This is just an epic failure on multiple levels by southwest.

Don't worry. Mayor Pete will be much better as President than he is as Transportation Secretary.

My flight out of MDW on Monday night got cancelled many hours earlier, but Southwest never bothered notifying me. Fortunately I know not to trust their IT and confirmed it with FlightAware.

It was early enough that I got the third to last seat on a flight out of O'Hare this morning on another airline. I spent the evening visiting family, got a hotel for the night, and was home by noon. I used miles for the new flight, and it looks like Southwest will eventually reimburse me for the hotel night and McBreakfast this morning.

But I had been flying three times a month for over 25 years in my former job. The number of passengers I saw at Midway on Saturday without winter gear because they were "just changing planes here" was substantial, people just don't know what they don't know.

I've seen reports of people going to places like Kansas City saying they will be stuck here until Friday. Why not just rent a car and drive home? You'll be home tomorrow. Money I guess?

A good four inches of snow will solve the problem of covering up all the dog shit in the backyard that I don't feel like picking up.

With us its always the wind. 4 inches and wind is a pain. Looks like winter is making a visit for next couple weeks. Nothing too terrible or anything and we are due but I was pretty happy with not having to break ice for the last month. Oh well, at least the roads won't get posted.

If this jerk can't keep his backyard clean of dog shit, I can only imagine how his kitchen looks like. Chef Duffy, can we serve food out of here?

I'm sure the neighbors appreciate a yard full of shit and think very highly of the homeowners who are too lazy to clean it up.

When they predict a 2 feet we get 2-4 inches, so I'm concerned we'll get 2 feet now.
