NY may have fucked up by not picking up his option, Daboll looks like he made this guy fairly servicable in a short amount of time. If ya tag him you have to guarentee him 46 mill for one year. If ya sign him long term hes going to want 6 years at 40 per.

We've also banned 312 from QB discussion after his Watson(top 5 QB) takes

Giants will sign him for 3 or 4 years. He’s good. Not great, but clearly good enough to not worry about qb for a few more years. They have done an excellent job mixing up the game plan week by week. Barkley will get the franchise tag in my opinion.

3k yards , 15td, 67% completion on a team with a bad offensive line amd receivers . Youre the one who should be banned from talking football. Your thoughts have been abjectly horrible this entire season.

Don’t look now, but the giants o-line is starting to come together. Bredeson and Gates are back, Thomas is fantastic. Neal has been beaten off the snap all year but when he can get out of his stance and engage he has been fine. Right guard is still a huge problem. Jones has gotten lots of time the last few weeks and has been able to drop back a little more.

Wait, I thought we weren't allowed to use bad oline and receivers as an excuse for a QB? Pick a lane BadJohnKerry

To me the lack of turnovers so far has been the key. He has never been a huge interception guy but now his back side is protected, and he is unloading the ball before the sacks and fumbles occur.

I remember betting on Danny Dimes a few years back, first covid season, i think it was. SF flying east to play the Giants. Niners had half their roster (ok, maybe not half, but a fuckload) and some coaches knocked out by Covid and fucking Danny Dimes played like Danny plugged nickel. motherfucker.

I ain't saying Dimes is great, I'm just saying his receivers are maybe worst in the league. I wouldn't have the foresight to sin that deal 6 months ago either..but he's improved alot in a short time. They almost have to bring him back another year in that system.

Bob forgot that Carr had Davante Adams.

You really are an idiot

Less than 0%, unless it’s as a backup or jones gets hurt.

You're closer than I am to the team, but I don't get the impression Daboll loves Jones. I'm also not sure the Giants want to pay him or there is a market for him as a starter outside New York.

It is kind of like the Zach Lavine issue. Just because you have a good season, doesn't mean they should pay you.

Jones is about to become a very wealthy man from the New York Giants. Is he a top 10 quarterback? Probably not. Will he ever be a superstar? No, but he’s good enough. Daboll and Joe Schoen are loving that they don’t have to ride the QB carousel in the draft and can draft players in need areas. This is a weak roster in a lot of ways, they aren’t swapping out a QB who has won the respect of this teammates, coaches and fans in a playoff year for a guy who has done the opposite for a team that was supposed to contend.

Which is exactly why the declined his 5th year option. It was a prove it year, and he has stepped up and played well. We will see what his value will be but there is zero chance they don’t make him a multi-year offer. And if he wins a playoff game somehow he’s going to get VERY rich.

Bears will sign Carr after they trade Fields to New Orleans for a grip of picks and a willie mae's franchise.

And let's see what Watson looks like next week, he looked damn good this week, he's still shaking off the rust.

Heard Boomer and Gio say Dimes is a top 15 qb, I'm gonna agree. Could be top 12 next season

Right now I’d say he’s 15-20, easy to go a little overboard after hammering the Colts and passing all over the Vikings. A good playoff showing against a good team would go a long way.

Look a the quarterbacks in the NFL, being a top 15 guy doesn't take much. There was a lot of QB suckage this year. A case could be made for Fields also being a top 15 guy.

10, 15, 20, whatever anyone wants to rank him, its all fine with me as long as the team is winning. He has clearly earned a contract and if he has a run in the playoffs it may not be with the Giants, although it is hard to see him leaving this situation to throw in Houston or Indy.

Jones is not top 10 but definitely in the 10-13 discussion for the season. The Giants are in a weird position here....agreed I wouldn't want to give him a huge deal but he's "good enough" and they should try and get him on a team friendly contract.

How many other teams REALISTICALLY would / could like to out-bid the Giants for Jones services?
Panthers, Falcons, Saints, Commanders, Buccaneers (let's assume Brady is done), Texans, Raiders?

The end of Brady's career is going to make for a great story in years to come
He can go to the Raiders and yes he'd be un upgrade over Carr, but I don't think the end result changes.

He needs to get that divorced settled and done!
