Why are you avoiding offensive weapons? When you said you wouldn't build around Fields, I agreed, but I assumed you meant you wouldn't want to draft guys specifically because their style of plays meshes with Fields. Unless I'm reading your above post incorrectly, it looks like "building around Fields" means something different to the both of us.

I do want weapons. I would draft/acquire legit studs at WR or TE etc because to me I need those players irrespective of who is at QB. If Fields sucks then I find a QB who can leverage the weapons in front of him. In other words, I don't want to skip drafting the next Megatron (I know there's prolly no Megatron in the draft, but just using him as an example), just because my QB (Fields) can't capitalize on Megatron's talents. To me, it's give me Megatron because he's the best player available, and if the QB can't use him, I'll find one someone who can.

Because I think they’re acquired only with the opportunity cost of impact defensive players. I wouldn’t want to take a Megatron and have him waste away with a guy who can’t get him the ball over somebody who can anchor the defense for a decade.

I don’t hate the Bears skill guys. Claypool, Mooney, Kmet, Jones, Herbert and St. Brown are probably an average group at worst.

They're not legitimate options. Cutting Fields is technically an option too. But is that going to happen?

C'mon. Ryan Poles may end up being a horrible GM, but at this point there is absolutely zero chance he would replace Justin Fields with Geno Smith or Jimmy G. Its nonsense to even suggest it

I'm not saying Geno Fucking Smith or Jimmy G are the answer....I'm just saying those are the options.

It really comes down to when the line in the sand will be drawn for Fields being a Pace draft pick or being a Poles guy. If Poles doesn't want his career tied to Fields, he has to be dealt NOW or if he's lucky he can squeeze one more year. Problem is....there is value NOW....one more you and that value in draft capital is likely gone.

Keep Fields.....draft the hell out of DL and OL and this team is WAY better.

I personally think Fields will be back and Poles will get to draft one more QB next year, but in any case....whenever he drafts / signs a QB...he better get it right. I don't think the answer is out there this offseason.

Poles career is already tied to fields. Either he keeps him and he's on the hook for his success or lack thereof or he trades him and every touchdown he gets is Brock for Broglio discussion.

Right now Poles is tied to Fields? No. Pace drafted Fields and it's Poles first year which he spent clearing cap space under the "we need to evaluate him". The question is....can he squeeze out one more year and say "I didn't draft him". That is debatable.

I'm even more of an Anderson over Carter guy after these playoffs. Great players should be noticed in big games. He also on the sidelines for too many plays. I've seen enough of Roquan out of breath. I don't need to see another Georgia player huffing and puffing.
