It's a beautiful state. I have not been to Salt Lake yet but I hear the party scene is not as bad as people like you make it out to be. It's improved over the years. With that said, I'd rather be there in the summertime or in a warmer winter city.

Been there and unless I’m skiing, I (& most ASG attendees and players) couldn’t care less about the view. Most players seem to hate playing there which speaks to their crowds and likely local residents. Frankly Utah is one of those places where they have to draft really well or wildly overpay to get anyone good to play there. Hell, they couldn’t even keep Gordon Heyward to stay in that dead end place filled with weirdos.

And yes, they're thin skinned. They're an upstart team going up against a monolith who gets a ton of the calls. They played him well all game...they made the other Lakers beat them in pick and roll, that's precisely what they did defensively. And Schroeder and other guys made them pay for focusing on LeBron.

I still like Memphis but they go through game stretches where Tyus Jones is a more consistent offensive threat than Morant. That's a problem.

Tyus Jones would start for MANY teams. Including the Lakers. Actually, I think Memphis has a better record when Ja is hurt.

Lakers do have a little somethin' somethin' going on though. This Hachimura guy. Don't know anything about him.

Jones gets exposed defensively by decent sized guards. Morant isn't that good of a defensive player either.

They are so bad at foul shooting. it's crazy. And there's no sure thing offensively....just a good floor spacing team.

Watching some Pelicans-Timberwolves. Gobert is nice but man, he's got ugly weaknesses on offense. They paid and mortgaged so much for him. I feel for Minnesota fans.

the West is so wide open. It's insane. Pels have lost 6 straight. They looked like a top contender at one time. Denver is certainly good but they have a poor injury history with some of their best players. Memphis got exposed and have lost 4 straight. SACRAMENTO is a 3 seed right now...that's a decent, not great squad. Clippers did look great against the Lakers but the 3 pointers were falling and they actually played some defense.

Lakers on top so far against Celtics. First time I've seen the Lakers be close to full strength. Still missing Reeves who does a lot of dirty work for the team.

Tatum is so so soft. It's just so frustrating.

The Pels are missing 66% of their big three. Memphis also lost Adams...not a superstar but an elite defender and rebounder. Counts for something.
