Thats the thing. Peggy was far from what you would call a looker and maybe if social media were around when she was in the trenches, she wouldve receive more than ( mean) her fair share of digs about her looks BUT she worked her fucking ass off, took all the gigs she could get , seemed to earn the respect of her colleagues and players she covered and made her mark . Didnt whine on twitter about how hard and unfair it is about being a woman in sports media every day. Its so hard and unfair that a woman like Maria Taylor can earn millions of dollars a year based on her encyclopedic knowledge of sports and not her looks.

And this is part of the reason I like Leila. She is not the greatest. But she does appear to actually care about things and works hard. She is the anti July in many ways and you know it pisses July off so much.

For me the most offputting thing about her whole spiel is "he's salty that I blocked him."

This is a 50 year old lady thinking she wields some sort of power over a 30-something year old dude because he can't see her tweets. It's become a cliché lately but this lady is Main Character Syndrome to a tee. She's annoying, but she's also very fascinating in that she seems to have 5-6 different personality ailments simmering in the crock pot at all times.
